You have been my inspiration for so long. You are my everything. With each passing day, I think of you and I am reminded how much I miss you. No one could ever replace you, and I am very sad that they are trying to find someone else to be the lead singer of INXS. No matter what happens you are the best. I love you. I will never forget you. As a teenager in the eighties, I used to buy every album that you would release.
After all these years, I still find my self immediately thinking of Micheal Hutchence, when I hear, or see anything related to INXS.
In my opinion, the only front man that has ever really worked with your band has been Micheal.
Im not that keen on the sound that John Stevens puts out, because I feel that he is more suited to performing solo, than working with a band.
I hope that with this auditioning process you can do justice to the memory of Micheal by getting someone who respects Micheal enough to not try and be his clone.
May your music live on forever.

There doesn't seem to be a part of my life that wasn't accompanied by an INXS track. Michael was a true poet and had a way of putting a lifetime of feelings into one song. He had an amazing view of the world. He is missed, but his talent lives on through his words and the songs of INXS.

Firstly the 22nd November was a horrible day. I always remember the beautiful man who I adored for years as a young girl growing up, and still do.
I have been reading about the 'reality TV' show we will see where INXS look for a new frontman. I dont know how the hell INXS can do this. Wasnt Michael their 'brother'. I understand that you have to move on blah blah blah but there will NEVER be anyone who can sing like Michael and I dont think any true INXS fan would want anyone else at the helm of THEIR band. We miss you Michael and INXS existed no more for me, after the day you died. xx Peace xx

The One Thing was the first INXS video I ever saw. I was only a child then, but I still remember being mesmerized by Michael. I was glued to the set every time I saw him. Everytime I hear INXS, I always turn the volume up a little louder. He is still one of my favorites.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news in 97. I have always admired Michael.

As I push away the “Bitter Tears”, I am reminded that someday we will “pass each other on The Stairs”. As I sit and “Meditate”, I remember the “New Sensation” of your wonderful voice! Your memory with me, they can “Never Tear Us Apart”! Michael, there has never been and never will be anyone with your awesome and beautiful voice! I'm glad that I got the chance to see you live in concert just months before you passed. You are loved now as you were then.
