Your music has been the soundtrack of my life. From Shabooh Shoobah to Elegantly Wasted so many moments of my life were reflected and amplified by your music and artistry. You were one of greatest voices of a generation. Hard to believe that it has been 27 years since the world lost such an amazing talent. I often wonder what music you would have made if you had not left the world behind. Thank you for your gifts, the music is and will always be timeless.
Hey Michael just stopping by to say i love you. Miss you .
My one regret is never seeing INXS live, what an absolute talent Michael was, such a loss to the world, talented young man.
Helena Christensen's lyrics to you make me cry.
And the concert at Wembley in 1991 also, By my side, Need you tonight, Never tear us apart.
I don't even know why, because I don't cry that easily.
It'll be everything, just everything, I mean your life, lately.
I saw an interview from 1995.
You were doing fine, healthy, happy, so healthy.
What a man, what a talent, what a blessing to the world.
Yes, it makes me cry.

I would so love to have known you. You sound like such a wonderful person. I feel the pain of your family's loss.
You are so missed from this world Michael. I haven’t been able to stop watching countless performances of you especially at Wembley, listening to your great voice and witnessing greatness as a front man. You were so magnetic and drew us in. It’s been 27 years since you have been gone. Music and this world is not the same without you. Love forever Michael.
Hello there,
I was very shocked but also proud that Michael attended the school I am currently working in.
Beacon Hill School in Kowloon Hong Kong.
I would love to know the year he graduated from BHS as I have old yearbooks dating from 1970.
Please get in touch with me if you're interested in looking through the old yearbooks to see if Michael was in it?

Hello, I hope you’re resting well. When I first heard Need You Tonight, my jaw fell to the floor. I immediately fell in love with you and the band. I grew up lonely thus living an unstable childhood and teen years. Thank you for bringing this planet a blazing star with your beautiful work and voice. Continue resting in peace. We will always love you.
You were an incredible talent and precious gift to the world. And still greatly missed...
No words to describe the beauty soul you were Mr Michael Hutchence.
Dear Michael,
I was born in 2001, so I didn't directly grow up with your music and I first heard of you from my dad (who is also a fan), but I was so captivated by your life and artistry that I started listening to your music on my own.
I heard from the Mystify documentary that you had an appreciation for philosophy, and that you were self-conscious of your image as an artist, wishing to be appreciated for your songwriting and not just seen as a sex symbol. Well, I find some of your lyrics so deeply touching and inspiring that they almost make me cry, so I hope you knew during your life that you WERE a true artist.
Here is a selection of my favourite lyrics, which I wish to share with everyone reading this:
- "If I hurt you, I'd make wine from your tears"
- "Climbing as we fall, we dare to hold on to our fate, and steal away our destiny to catch ourselves with quiet grace"
- "And my selfish ways disappeared one day, with the realisation of the new way. Images of the free, coming into view, our hearts full of promises of all we can do"
(I could definitely think of more, but I'll leave it here for the sake of this message not being too long).
Your music has helped me through so much, including recently inspiring me to start singing again after 5 years ago I quit trying to be a singer due to my own personal demons. And I am just one fan out of millions. You made such a mark on the world and you are so, so missed.
I feel incredibly sad when I think about everything that happened to you (not just your passing, but everything leading up to it too). I'm sorry you were in so much pain. I really hope that wherever you are now, you are at peace.
And I send my condolences to your family and friends. I can't imagine their pain.

I miss you every day
Firstly, I'd like to thank Michael's father and family the initiative of this guestbook and kindly sharing tender and beautiful details of Michael's life, that I am so glad to know. I have always been a fan of the band Inxs and I really admire Michael's talent, perform and incredible powerful and marvellous voice. This admiration is stronger as time goes by and I grow older. I will always miss Michael for being such a special person, great musician and the good man I am sure he was. There"s no doubt Inxs and Michael are a legend. I love you
I listen to INXS music over and over and Michael gets more charismatic the more I listen. To this day, one of the biggest losses! I loved him and his music!
I'm listening to Michael's solo album right now and to INXS almost everyday. It's been 27 years but still his voice touches me deep inside. And listening to his solo album and the lyrics really gets me so emotional. I feel his pain, his struggle, his love, his kind soul. Miss him so much. So gifted, so talented.
I simply loved the bones of Michael, even though I never met him, I felt as though I knew him. I'm now 54 and went to see INXS when I was a late teenager twice. What scares me is I'm now so much older than Michael was when he died but still see him as the older gorgeous guy as time has stood still since. My friend and I often send each other pics of Michael when we need a boost or if it's our birthday, or simply a 'happy Friday'- you were that special Michael. We grew up knowing you and your memory lingers on in us. Wish I could've met you but it was never to be. At least we got to spend some time with you albeit in the company of thousands of others!! I still think you saw me-yes, I was the one in the crowd with the red dress on and I had long black hair! Love you Michael-always!! Love to your existing family/friends too and how proud you would be of them all for remembering you in this very special way XXXX
I miss Michael so much. I play INXS everyday. When I am having a hard day ,his music, his voice picks me up. I pray your having a great aussi day! Note to my mother. Mama hold his hand and strolk all over heaven with michael.
RIP Michael

Happy INXS Day! It's Tim's birthday but still a great reason to post on this site and wish everyone a fabulous and fun INXS Day filled with music, laughter and goodwill.
I wish Michael was here to witness this universal INXS Day and know that there's still plenty of love for him and his music.

Jon and I still put on INXS and wish to God that Michael was still alive. Someone with so much talent, charisma and passion, he is so missed. We are so sorry for our loss. He was definitely one in a billion. We miss him and hope he’s happy and living his best life somewhere in Heaven!
