I feel like I have been touched by Michael’s magic for almost 40 years now. I remember first encountering The One Thing on MTV in 1981 at my ripe age of 10. I will be 50 next year, and I still love Michael. I have traveled to Sydney & Prague & France taking some of the exact same steps Michael did, and meeting many of his friends via social media over the years. He has really brought people together in this world and the love continues. I welcomed a baby puppy in September of this year and of course the only fitting name to give him was Hutch. Thanks for being a thread of light thru my life Michael. Peace & Love to you always! xo Alicia

I am moved by this man`s talent and saddened that he is not here to continue the fantastic skills he had as a showman. His music i find is very easy to listen to even today it would be original and groundbreaking, all too often brilliant talent is taken from us far too early, the remaining band members remember him fondly and speak very highly of him.
Thank you for allowing me to comment on your site.
R.I.P Michael.

Micheal Hutchence will forever be missed. I have been a fan of Micheals and inxs since the 1980's. The shaboo shoobah album is so great and is a reminder to me every time I hear it of meeting the love of my life at san francisco state university... my now wife... tina. I am watching the new michealhutchence documentary... .mystify on as tv. It is a great documentary on micheals talent and on his life. Micheal was so talented and it was amazing to me that he performed in front of so many people ... when he was actually very shy since a young boy. Micheal Hutchence will never be forgotten.

Michael, thank you so much for wonderful lyrics and helping to bringing it all together with the fantastic band you were a part of INXS. Your brothers. Your beautiful voice and the powerful music by the band was a win, win musicaly contribution to the world and it is so appreciated.
Michael, you are unconditionally loved and so terribly missed.
I’m thankful we have Lowenstein’s movie Mystify and the contributions by your gracious and healthy girlfriends. Helena did the right thing by sharing your truth and helping the world understand you even better.
God bless you Michael and may you always Rest In Peace.

Still get mad and upset when I listen to INXS songs and I get hit with the memory of what we lost. Its a selfish moment, but one shared by all of his fans. At this time of 2020, COVID and who knows what else - I could really use an INXS concert just 1 more time. What a stage presence he was. Sorry for the pain you felt! Thanks you for the time we had.

I remember the first time I heard of INXS on MTV it was the One Thing video and it was LOVE at first note! I went and bought every record of theirs I could find! The local radio station ran a contest have "dinner" with INXS I won!! OMG I am going to meet Michael! My friend & I were able to bring a camera and take pictures mind you this was in 1983. I have a beautiful picture of Michael that makes me smile every time I look at it; this is how I always think of Michael.

INXS is STILL one of my favorite bands. Just the thought of the death of Michael Hutchence just blows my mind. My mind still can not grasp it. All I can say is that my apologies just aren’t even understandable. It all just seems incoherent to me. I am sorry. I hope he is enjoying up it Heaven. Heaven is just ‘lucky’ to have him.

After seeing "Live Baby Live" on tv by pure chance a couple of months ago, I've become re-infatuated with INXS... Michael in particular. Such a charismatic, sexy, talented, enchanting man, your music - your singing - touches the heart and soul. The world lost a rare brilliance; a beautiful sensitive soul. You are missed. Rest in Peace.

We were both very young, growing up on different continents when we first heard your music - we of course loved it as kids, but appreciate it even more profoundly in our adult age, upon rediscovery during the pandemic lockdown and learning about the band from the documentaries.

We now have every album downloaded, have memorized most lyrics, and INXS is our go-to for at-home dance parties. Our rediscovery of INXS almost 20 years later has gotten us through this difficult time. We wish you were still here creating great music. With love from Houston, TX and Bordeaux, France.

Top man! What a life. So much packed into such a short space of time. Perhaps the world would be a better place if we all were all a bit more care free and had the enthusiasm you had for life. Take care.

I am not a poet this just came to me.

Looking into those eyes
To the Deep blue sea
From my heart to yours
Beautiful Soul

The life of a Legend
Lost in the end
Never knew his effect in our life’s
Beautiful Man

Was a good man
Was respected
Didn’t know in the end his million friends
Beautiful Love

My heart is hurting
Life has no meaning
Left to soon did not need to happen

WOW I am blown away at what everyone is saying about Michael as I feel the same way! Michael was not only a singer of INXS he has something special, something beyond music alone he never knew he possessed. I would to have loved to see him acting more I believe he would of been a great actor just needed more of him on the big screen. I never got to see them in person to busy with kids and single parent trying to get by. Mystify took me on a journey that literally broke my heart and now Michael and INXS are back in my life. I started from the beginning of INXS and listened, read and watched everything I can. INXS was and is the BEST BAND EVER! No one understood how hard they worked to get to where the went. I bet no other band can say they worked as hard and long as INXS EVER! The one thing I regret is not seeing them live makes me so sad. Michael I Love Your Precious Heart! INXS YOU STILL ROCK!

I remember the year 1986, when I was 16 years old, I began to go dancing. At that time the NYC nightclub was playing, Original Sing, I need you tonight.
Today I am 48 years old, I listen to the music of my time, I cannot understand how there are teenagers with atrophied ears from listening to BST or reggeton.
Songs like suicidal blonde, mistify, the gift, is very powerful music, accompanied by Michael's charisma and his imprint that was a mix of Jim Morrison and Mike Jagger.
Rest Michael in your native Sydney, your music endures in time.
