Yes, I call you babe with much respect, but I do this because you were so sweet and beautiful like a baby, so great and talented as an unusual man can be. I only want to tell you that your music is the music I like the most! I have enjoyed music from many, many talented people through my life, but for some strange reason I cannot understand, your music is the one I always insist on listening to. I've seen great performers, great frontmen, but...I insist, your persona had something magnetic, your charm and charisma was unique.
Michael, may God bless you forever, be at peace, sweet angel,
be happy because if only you could see how your thousands of fans love you! I'm moved to tears just to read all these beautiful messages for you. Your family ..I'm sure they are full of pride.

Memory of Michael.Love u...peace and love to u forever..in heaven!

Inxs are in my soul and losing michael was like losing a part of me. To me and so many he was the ultimate frontman, with so much more left to give. What a loss.

i forgot to mention...i honestly dont recall why i lokked up iNXS tonight ...i dont... i been looking at t.rex websites all day...god bless...

7 years have gone now, but I still remember when I heard the painful news. Michael left a gap that can never be closed. But in our heart, he will live forever. Love & peace, Gerald

Arrived at Michael's stone at the Northern Suburbs Memorial Gardens yesterday (22.11.04) to see a gorgeous array of carefully placed... Iris', Tigerlilys, Roses etc. and the soft green manicured hedges gently framing Michael's garden. Such a beautiful calming feeling sitting and breathing in the powerful tranquility. Whilst there, I was greeted by dearest Boris (a brilliant violinist and... the head gardener) who has been ultimately responsible for the care and upkeep of the grounds for the past 16yrs (together with the other staff, who I commend!). Boris, has personally attended to Michael's stone, meticulously cleaning managing etc. for the past 7yrs, whereupon, he became very friendly with quite a few people and in particular,our beloved Kell, who expressed and discussed his grief about his much loved son,Michael. Sadly, my friend Boris, announced to me yesterday that he will be retiring within 3mths.
I will never forget one day when I was sitting at the garden talking with Boris. I hadn't realised the impact Michael and Kell had on him. I asked him if he still enjoyed his work and he said: “oh yes, but I'm only here because of him, Michael! He was an undeniable, legendary artist!” he said, as he pointed to the bronze sculpture of Michael. His English wasn't the best(neither is mine tonight!) but ...I felt what he said. It was a mad, sad moment!!

I'm sure nothing will change with the standard of maintenance etc.,however, we will miss Boris' ghost stories,the heartfelt TLC and not to mention, the “respect” he displayed around Michael and Kells Garden.

I just listened to INXS's Greatest Hits. It has a lot of memories for me. Such a tragedy for a man and those he loved, in his prime at the peek of his life.

The first time i saw you live, my path in life changed for the better. You showed us that legends dont have to have been from generations that have passed us by. It was a privelage to have witnessed your magic on stage and on screen. About 2 months before you left us, i bought a Boxer puppie and called him Hutch, i reckon he knew who he was named after, because he had such a free spirit. We miss you mate...everybody misses you.

Dearest Michael,
Miss you still and always. Spent the evening paying homage by watching old INXS videos and being reminded of those glorious days of live concerts.And as usual listened to most of the music I have collected over the last 20 odd years. Your spirit lives on though in the beautiful moon that is out tonite and all the beauty I find in Nature. Where else could you be...but in Nature's beauty! 7 yrs plus all those to come will always, always be too long without you. As I sit here and reflect, I am unable to believe that it's been 7 years since Michael's been absent from this world. Like many of the other entries here, it was a long time until I listened to INXS after Michael's passing. In this last year, while going through hard times, this incredible uncomparable music made every day a little bit easier. All I can hope is that he has peace wherever he is. Michael, your music means more to me than mere words can possibly express, more than emotions can feel. It is a life force in my daily world. My biggest regret is that I never got the opportunity to see his amazing talent in person. When I woke up this morning of November 22nd, the world seemed a bit of a tilt...and then I knew why. This world is a little bit emptier without Michael in it, but will be forever richer because of what he left us - his voice, his music, his passion. I wrote something many years ago that I knew would mean more to me one day than it did then. Today, November 22nd, it seems to fit perfectly - to fit HIM perfectly.

Stand your ground,
Remember who you are,
And let the applause embrace you.

I will forever embrace your memory and your music that lives on.
