Pronto va a ser el noveno aniversario de la desgraciada muerte de mi querido Michael, y desde aquí me gustaría rendirle un pequeño homenaje.
“Michael, desde el mismo momento en que te descubrí comencé a amarte. No me hizo falta conocerte personalmente, me bastó con mirarte a los ojos en una fotografía para comprender que me encontraba ante una persona sensible a la vez que humana. No escondías tus sentimientos ni tu forma de pensar. Tu generosidad nunca tuvo límites. Con tu forma de cantar llegaste a muchos corazones, y por eso, tus canciones se convirtieron en himnos. No te importaba en absoluto llamar a las cosas por su nombre, y te revelabas publicamente ante las injusticias existentes en este mundo. Eras y eres un ser especial y auténtico, y solo las personas como tú llegan a ser verdaderas estrellas.
El día que me enteré de tu fallecimiento, parte de mí se fue contigo, pero a medida que va pasando el tiempo esa parte de mi que contigo se fue, va resurgiendo gracias a tu luz. Gracias a tu estrella. Que tu luz siga iluminando nuestros corazones, y que nuestro amor te llegue allá donde estés.
No abandones a tu niña nunca porque te necesita, siempre te necesitará. Guíala con tu luz.
Te siento cerca de mí cada día, y eso me gusta. Nunca te he sentido tan cerca.
Te amaré y te recordaré siempre.
Paz y amor allá donde esté.

a inmortal voice

I just wanted to say that in 1982-83 I was 12 yrs old and picked up my 1st inxs record...yes record not CD :). I was immediately hooked and it became a part of who I was. I remember being in my room listening to “Dont Change” over and over. Since then I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and give lessons. I know that my deep appreciation for music was partly due to Michaels great voice and stage presence. Music is a wonderful way to escape from the daily grind and I still listen to all my favorite INXS songs on a regular basis. God Bless you Michael and the boys for bringing such inspiration to our lives.

Michael was and still is one of the most gifted and amazing singers ever. Hearing his voice now always gives me chills. My birthday is always bittersweet, for that was the day he eternally became an angel.

There is only one voice for inxs and you were the one. I bless you and the band to make a recovery. i remember when i first listen to you CD, i loved it at the moment i heard it. Thank you for the memories.

Michael and I shared the exact same birthday, 1/22/60. Maybe thats why I felt so in tune with his music and that of INXS. The world was short-changed by his loss.

I grew up listening to INXS and having a complete and total crush on Michael. My last memory of him was when the band performed on VH1 that fateful year. I will remember it for two reasons: one) it was the last time that I would see a “live” performance by such a brilliant and talented vocalist and two) my husband actually proposed to me while we were watching it. While it wasn't a big proposal...it is a memory I will always treasure and Michael will forever be entwined with that memory. Rest in peace Michael, you are sorely missed. xxx

Su muerte me conmocionó, pero el otro día viendo el LIVE BABY LIVE creó que quedé más emocionado al darme cuenta que ya no está. Es difícil de aceptarlo, pero me consuela que un tío de puta madre me está esperando ahí arriba.
