dear michael and family,
I havnt been a fan of INXS for long because i am only 13 and i hadnt heared much of them. but i was searching through my dads cds about 3 months ago and i found the INXS cd. As soon as i listened to it i was so amazed with micheals dreamy and deep voice and i couldnt stop listening to it (especially in 'suicide blonde, by my side, elegantly wasted and mystify'). I could listen to his voice forever and i wouldnt get sick of it. his lyrics inspired me to start writing songs and i thank him for that. when i went on the internet to fing out more about INXS and michael i was saddened to find out that he had commited suicide. i looked at his photos and it brought some tears to my eyes. i couldnt belive that someone so hansome, talented and successfull could take his own life. i am deeply sorry for your loss and i hope micheal is rocking on in heaven!!

R.I.P michael

yours sincerly

I have been a INXS fan since of spring 1983. And my first INXS albnm I ever bought was Shaboo Shoobah also my first INXS concert gig at Irvine Meadows Amp. Know as now Verzion Wireless Amp. That was nineteen years ago. What a great show that was I was with my best friend she and I enjoy it. I was sadden to hear that Michael of his untimely death. Michael had a golden singing voice. With every album that INXS released over the years. His singing gets better and better with every album. Or any tour that INXS goes on. I enjoy of hearing his voice every now and then. When he sings I lipsynch it and I act like Michale with his swagger. Michael was a great performer. To this date he's still is in my book. Long Live Michael.

Thanks Michael for everything A Truly a ledgend.

Thanks,
Shane

Michael, you're voice and your spirit are so special. You are so greatly missed. YOU were the heart of INXS; no one, and I mean NO ONE could EVER replace you. You may be gone from this earth, but the TRUE “rock star” of INXS will still be with us forever. Gone, but never forgotten. Love you and your beautiful talent!

I was not a INXS fan I was a Michael Hutchence fan .. I loved the songs he wrote and they took me thru so many years of my life and to this day. I fell in love with his voice, his lyrics and that face in 1982.. at the tender age of 17 .. To this day he is the most beautiful man and soul I have ever seen .. He smile could melt me and put me in a great mood for the rest of the day .. I started many days with his videos for years .. My children grew up hearing him sing all their life .. and now my granddaughter is a 3rd generation Michael fan !

I saw him live in 1986 ... last concert I went to .. I wish I had gone to another one.. But how was I supposed to know he would leave us so young ...
I thank his family for this beautiful site .. to remember him .. he should be remembered .. he is a legend !, it will just take the rest of the world longer to understand that ..

He was brilliant, beautiful breathtaking & mesmerizing .. Not a equal to him in my generation has their been

I love him .. I miss him what could have been, all those unwritten songs went with him .. I thank him for all the days he made great days by singing me right through them .. when I needed it .. when I needed him

Just being a fan and not a friend or family .. It was so very hard when he passed away .. I felt like a old friend that had helped me so many times in life whispering in my ears by way of his songs and that beautiful voice encouraging me to Don't Change .. and so many more you know, Then he was alone on that day .. when he gave so much to me .. and me not being a friend or family couldn't have been there for him .. Oh how I wish I could have been .. It hurts .. No one like him should have been alone when he gave so much of his self to strangers. his fans .. He burned so bright .. maybe he burned away

BUT not in our hearts and minds, he will stay there always .. I still have him singing me through my days ..

I love you Michael .. I thank you Michael .. You were one in a billion .. I hope you know that now .. God bless you and keep you and give you the peace you deserve ..

Your fan always
Lesa .. From Texas

A friend of mine first introduced me to the music of INXS in 1980 when he bought the album INXS
I was instantly hooked. I was about 17 at the time.

We would search the gig guides to find out what pub they were playing that week and if it was one in Sydney we would make every effort
to go and hear these guys play.

I remember one gig in particular, they were playing The Vicar of Wakefield in Dural and we got there about 4pm just so we'd get the best seats.
When they finally came on around 9pm we were about 5 foot from the front of the band (no stage, just played on the floor in front of us all).

As always they had the place raging and I remember coming out after the gig drenched in sweat and feeling fantastic.
They were some of the best days of my teen years.

I was absolutely shocked to hear the news of Micheals' death and remember thinking that we had lost one of the greatest front men of all times.
I really miss those days and miss Micheal just as much. I know how the family feel and feel for them deeply, as I also lost a brother in 1982, whose
name was Micheal also. He too was great fan of INXS.

Thanks for the great memories Micheal, INXS will never be quite the same without you. But I will always remain a loyal fan

He was a very talented young man. I never got the chance to see him in concert. I only wished I did. Hes voice was like nothing Ive never heard before. God bless his soul.

I remember the first time I saw INXS - I was watching MTV (like every other teen back in the 80's) and the video for Don't Change came on... I turned up the volume and watched, riveted by Michael Hutchence's soulful presence and his voice. I was an instant fan. I still am.

He set the bar very high as a performing artist. I will always think of him as a tremendously talented and charismatic performer. The world is blessed to know Michael Hutchence and to have his musical legacy as a tribute. Rest in peace, Michael, and know you are loved by many.

I camped out to get tickets for my first INXS concert. It was the best concert I have ever been too! Micheal was so energetic and an excellent singer. That was in 1987 and I still have yet to find a musician as wonderful as him! Rest in peace. we all miss you.

Summer 1987. I just turned 16 and got my drivers license. I bought INXS Kick and played it loud in my car while cruising the strip in Easton, Maryland. I then went in teh Army in 1989 and played the same album while on a boat in Turkey. I don't think those Turks that heard the music will ever be the same. The band will never be the same without Michael. He is missed.
