i have only just finished reading some other peoples messages to michael and i am blowen away on what an impact he and INXS had on so many people. His family must be sooooo proud of him and what he gave to the world and how much people he didn't even know, love him even to this day. and even young children are learning about INXS which is just superb.they are a true legend of a band. thinking of him gone brings tears to my eyes and reading other messages also are great - but hurt. It is wonderful knowing that him and his dad are together again and watching all of us soak ourselves in INXS music forever.

Michael, I miss your presence in INXS, but like the guys...I am looking for closure and letting go. You won't leave the heart.

Like a rose, your memory will never fade away.

Love and Peace,

I just wanted to express how wonderful a human being Michael Hutchence was, and still is all these years after his unfortunate passing. Everytime I listen to his voice and the way he delivers INXS' lyrics, I feel like crying, smiling and I feel just so supremely lucky for having been able to hear his genius.

I first heard and saw Michael as a member of the group as a teenager in the states. I followed him through the eighties and as a artist thought he was a great contributor to a art and craft that is hard to master as a lead singer of a rock band. In the days that follow of you not being with us any longer I miss what I saw as a younger man and I miss where it would have ended up if you were still with us. I am happy that you were a part of my life in some capcity. For what its worth, I could not have grown up with out you. Thanks for all you gave, all you made and giving a trail in which others can wonder and marvel about for the rest of time. I miss the person I never met and only would see on TV and hear on the radio. You have influenced me as a perosn and as a producer. Long live the person that made you who you are today. Forever a icon in the eyes of millions but in the heart of this one man. Thanks for everything.

Michael, I saw you in Toronto in 1988 and and sometime in the 1990's.You have inspired me to become a musician after I heard you on (What you need), the sax playing is fenomenal, so I became a sax player adn a music teacher, all because of you and your great band. When I die I know we will jam together,Michael, the world miss you.

Michael's passing was a huge loss to the arts community and his fans, me among them. I always enjoyed his music but have only recently realized what an amazingly talented artist, performer and songwriter he was. His legacy will live on forever and his music won't ever stop being played. His singing and writing are for all time. I wish he were still here...but I know he is someplace better, and in no pain.

Darling Michael
You will live on in my memory forever. I have already chosen you to sing at my funeral which I look forward to. You were such a powerful, charistmatic human being I know you are still with “your brothers”. I cried buckets watching your funeral. Love always

I remeber the day Michael died...I was shattered. I had first heard of INXS in 1982 when they played with Cold Chisel but saw them play in the summer of 1984. They were amazing and Michael was the guy every other guy wanted to be...not only because he could sing but honestly- it was the way he could move. Michael was graceful and yet could look disjointed in an Elvis Costello sort of way and he strutted across the stage like Mick Jager. Michael was in command when he was on stage. He held the audience in his hand and the energy was amazing. I saw the band againin 1986 and then in 1988, then not agin until 1994. I never considered myself an INXS fan- but I made damn sure I saw them whenever they came near NYC...I realized when Michael died- I must have been a fan all along. I saw the band again in late summer 1997. I would never have believed it had anyone said something so stupid as 'Michael will be dead in a few months”...no way- he was a god...but it was true. I remember when he died in late November '97- though I never met him his death cut me, personally.

-Michael your death is a loss to us all and you are missed and loved by so many people across the world, it is a testimony to your prowess and talent...
I think of you often and pray for you and ask you to look down on us and let that energy you hold so deep in you shine out on us...I wish you were still with us...to hear you belt out a song and dance and swagger and strut...if only once more...

I have only recently heard and seen the song, “Searching” from the last INXS album. The performance of that song at tha ARIAs was truly exceptional, and only hints at what lay ahead and how the band was growing at the time. I simply can't get that performance out of my head; it was truly a beautiful moment.

Michael, you are truly missed...
