INXS was a major influence on me in my younger days and as a struggling musician they seemed to reaffirm what I needed to do musically to myself. I first heard INXS in the US when they gained commercial success with Shabooh Shabaah, and from that point on I was hooked. I went on to attempt to establish myself through my own musical identity and I had some major achievements but as a whole my musical career went nowhere, but I have since managed to achieve rockstar status in my current field of endeavor but I still get to be a rock star occaisonally.
When Michael died I could not believe it. I could have sworn it was a dream but it was not. Selfish as I was at the moment I was upset that I may never have INXS again. Boy was I wrong because INXS with Michael will always exist, not only on the air with amazing music that will definitely stand up to the test of time and continue to outlive us all, but he and INXS will always have great memories for me.
