i remember one of the first dates with my now wife sometime about ten years ago at the mayan theater in LA...then later that year at the hollywood bowl..michael was one of the best showmen i have ever seen...on a par with anyone...amazing shows to see up close and then only a few months later he was gone...i still think about those shows whenever i hear an INXS song..
I will always remember the band playing a concert during the 'Kick' Tour in Edmonton. This was the same week as my High School graduation. I miss the fun and memories although the tunes will always be there.
I just wanted to comment on how awesome this website is, Thank you for having me 🙂

Michael will be remembered for decades to come. I have been an Inxs fan throughout my life, I grew up and grew with them. I'm happy to hear the rest of the members are going to keep on entertaining us, and best of luck to them in their quest to provide a kickass singer. Who knows, it could be me.
Hey i am a new INXS fan but i am just crushing on Michael I love the music and wish me and my best friend Victoria* could have met him
INXS ROCKS !!!
INXS ROCKS !!!
Just recently, I saw a documentary on traumatic brain injury...one man, after a car accident & a frontal lobe injury, couldn't experience joy or love for his family. He was prone to angry outbursts, couldn't work & felt estranged from life. Once happy, he now contemplated suicide daily.
It was like a light went on & for the first time, I understood why a man like Michael who had a new child, a woman he loved, friends, family & fans--everything to live for--could take his life. Now it made sense & where once I felt almost angry at him for wasting such a promising life, I now feel sympathy & empathy; and where for a long time I found it hard to listen to his life-affirming music (in light of how he died), I now again find myself seeking inspiration & solace in his words. It is a shame that, instead of printing salacious rumours, more magazines didn't take the time to explain traumatic brain injury & how it had affected Michael Hutchance. He lives on in the hearts of all the people he touched with his music.

You have been and always will be missed.
I'll always remember your last performance at the Métropolis and when we talk together after the show. I still have our picture on my wall. Thank you for your powerfull music ... See Ya !
I miss you
I've 26 years old. i'm a musician and since when I was a child I'm traying to find some sound band that i can to enough. At December 2004, I bought the INXS dvd “LIVE BABY LIVE” and belive me, I've never listened some group like this. The Michael's voice, And all the gropu, bass, drums, guitar saxo are really, really, really the bets of the best. I hope that in the next years, INXS recorder another album. Maybe there are some voices in record of Michael that can be ensemble.
The Best.
I went to my first INXS concert in 1985. I can remember it so clearly. I was front row standing right in front of the man MICHAEL!!!!! and after a fantastic concert i went to a door around the back of Apollo Stadium. Waiting for those doors to open. WOW there he was, he walked to his Limo, and i remember chasing the Limo, however i slipped over on the gravel. I hope he saw me. i love him so much..... I have just read a great book written by his brother Rhett. A wonderful dedication to his brother (and other's in Rhetts life) TOTALXS
Rest in Peace, Michael.
I was thinking about you this morning. You are missed.
I give thanks every day for the influence your music has on my life. I'm one of those people who's life you touched even though you know nothing about me. Thank you.

I saw them on one of the first shows of the Kick tour. I'd been a huge fan since 1983, and I knew once Kick came out, things would never be the same. I've seen probably 100 concerts since then, but none came close to that one. Michael blew everyone away. I've never seen a performance like that since. As an 18 year old in the front row, it was pretty indescribable. He's almost personally responsible for my life-long, personal obsession with music.

In September 1997 a friend of mine and i were driving in Toronto to the show that evening when low and behold we pass a bus and some guys trying to cross the busy street. We both put 2 and 2 together and knew exactly who it was. I quickly turned around the car and had to stop to let the band cross to the hotel. I stuck out my head and said hi and that we will park the car see them in the bar. I was kinda kidding but we parked anyway. We went into the hotel bar at the four seasons and ordered some drinks. After about an hour we used the facilities and who is sitting behind me when I return.. Michael. I asked to join and of course. We ended up sitting with everyone from the band and the crew and Michael and I kept our conversation going. Didn't matter who showed up he was still interested in our conversation. We talked about the Elegantly Wasted release and how I really enjoyed the tracks. All I have to say is that he was one of the nicest people / guys you would want to meet. In fact we come from a small border city in Canada and when they were travelling a month later stopped at a bar that we recommended. Great guy ,,great singer and truly missed. Bless him

I understand that the band wants/needs to evolve, but don't do it with some tacky TV show, Michael would - probably is - horrified by the whole notion. Show him some respect, please don't do it.
MICHAEL... CADA D??A TE EXTRA??O M??S.
At the age of 11, I was lucky enough to be living in Sydney for several years right around the time the album “Beneath the Colours” was released, and I fell in love with what was at-the-time an unknown band.
After moving back to the US, “Listen like Thieves” came out to even more rave reviews than “Shabooh Shoobah”, and I felt like the world finally knew about MY BAND.
I can't begin to describe all the connection I felt to this band. It seemed that at every stage of my life, INXS was writing the soundtrack to my memories, and to my life.
For me, Michael Hutchence was as cool as you could get. No one had more style, more charisma, or more talent in the world.
To this day, I have only been brought to tears upon the news of the death of one celebrity, and that is Michael. In this day and age when bands come and go so quickly, to see a band that survived the test of time, and stayed with the same members, and continued to make great album after great album, it was truly something special.
Well, Michael, and to the rest of INXS, thank you for writing the soundtrack to my life.
