I was shocked when I heard the news back in 97' and it shook me to the core. I think of you often and though it makes me sad, sometimes, it also makes me realize that though you were in our lives for that short amount of time, its the music that we hear that makes that pain go away.The music and you are what still remains and that is timeless. To your family, I am so sorry for your loss. I just want to thank you for giving Michael to us for that brieanf f amount of time. We have you to thank for all the beautiful things that Michael was. What else can I possibly say all of these years... My wife is out for a girlfriends Birthday. I'm home alone after a long day at work reflecting on my life with a couple of beers and I really miss the man and what he made me feel. His music defined my life starting at 15 years old and Kick has been a permanent fixture in my life since then. I am now 47. Every few years I get a new car with a six disc changer. INXS holds at a minimum one of those slots! I don't know who might read this, but I can say one thing with absolute certainty. I can still see and feel every bit of energy that this man had inside him. He was and still is the coolest dude in town and so was every party playing his music. My God, I'm getting older fast and I just wish my Idol was still around. Maybe we could take a time machine back to the 80's before the whole mess started... My condolences.

Querido Michael, siempre escuche tus canciones , pero reconozco que esta vez volviste a mi recuerdo de nuevo , buscando Documentales Musicales en internet, después de ver a otros, me surgio la curiosidad de ver si habían salido documentales musicales nuevos y allí veo a INXS , veo tu rostro en Mistify , de primeras no sabía quien eras cuando empece a escuchar las canciones recorde todas las que había cantado yo y las que había bailado con mis amigos .Empezo mi andadura en querer conocer como eras , y he conocido a través de las canciones nunca olvidadas y si recordadas , tu comportamiento en los conciertos en vivo, tu pasión al cantar, me vuelve a traer a los momentos que yo las cante y baile esas canciones,me alegra haberte conocido Michael .

I was 10 years old when you formed INXS, and 15 when you released the album "Shabooh Shoobah"; When I heard it for the first time I fell in love with your voice and I could not stop listening to you, looking forward to your new release, Michael from that year 1982 until today I can not stop listening to your songs and I think that until the day of my death I will continue listening again and again to all the albums you created because I feel very alive with your lyrics and their strength. You will never die because you are still alive in our hearts and in our ears.
I miss you when one of your songs comes on the radio or from my playlist. You were brilliant, a shining star, and then you were gone, too soon. Thank you for all the happy memories.

Michael, I watched you for the first time when I was five years old. It was 1988, and INXS came on TV. I remember vividly your hair and your voice. I was sneakily watching the video when my parents were in the other room. I wouldn’t know until years later how your songs of love, lust, heartbreak, desire were so beautifully simple, yet epic. They transcend experiences and shake us to the core with your sumptuous lyrics and mesmerizing voice. What a kind, sweet, complicated, artistic, voracious man you were. At ten years old, I saw the video again, this time, mesmerized again, yet with the budding understanding of what your lyrics could mean and with an instantaneous attraction to you - hoping I’d grow up and feel this way with a man who was a handsome as you. Now, at 36 years old, and knowing you passed at 37 and having the understanding of your life as a full on adult, I ache for you, your family, and all the people who were lucky enough to know you. We all have wings, and yours were meant to fly.

I was young when I watched your videos on MTV. You always stuck with me. Just to watch you in live performances with INXS is amazing. The radio stations played your songs a lot. I first saw you on MTV in 1982 when I was a senior in high school, you, your band INXS and the music were so great. When I was in the US Navy from 84-90 I heard your music and awesome voice at every duty stationed I was stationed at around the world. Even in the 90s your music was a part of my life track. I was heartbroken to hear the news of your passing in 1997. When I hear you sing now it’s as if you are still around your just taking a long vacation. Rest In Peace Michael Hutchence 😢

WoW what a show INXS!...still my most favoutite band ~ and to think an INXS cassette or CD has been permanent fixture in the car over the past 30 years! Michael, I was able to see you when you came through town and by far one of the best shows I have ever seen. I'm so sorry life hurt you in the way it did. I pray you are in heaven, released from the pain here on this rock we call earth. Happy 60th birthday, Michael.

I lost my mother in 1997, so Michael's death that same year kinda passed me by. I liked INXS but their music wasn't my bag.
But Boy! has my mind been blown after watching Mystify and seeing a multi-dimensional version of the Michael". I feel like I am grieving for him now in a way that is really overwhelming. And I can't get enough of his music both as a solo artist and with INXS. It's just soooo sad that he's no longer around

i did my tribute to Hutch as usual on my facebook page and it hit me again hard as i realized how quiet the world was without him. i still cry laugh remember all the time. the pain never goes away but your enigmatic charisma and you being you on all the albums and concerts still keep that piece of you that most didnt know....alive.. missing you..
