I was into different music at the height of INXS and now can’t understand how it passed me by but I am very thankful that my eyes have been opened and I have bought every dvd / cd , book etc and feel really privileged to be keeping Hutches memory alive as a new and devoted fan.

Congratulations with what would have been Michael’s 60th birthday! Thank you so much for maintaining this memorial up to date, what a beautiful way of keeping Michael’s memory alive. I knew very little about him, except from what I remembered when I was young and listened to INXS on the radio mostly, although... I must have a tape with “Kick” (recorded it from a friend’s record probably) somewhere in the attic. Since I saw Mystify however, I’ve entered a journey of (re)discovering INXS music, and particularly Michaels’s story. The first moment I watched him in an interview after all these years, I realized how my memories of him were so different from reality. I was struck by his wit, his humor and his gentle character, although I’m sure he probably was a pain at times too (like most of us). It’s nice to remember him like this.
I’ll keep listening to the music!

Thinking of you on this day. You are greatly missed. I saw Mystify a few weeks ago and it was sad and moving at the same time. I remember seeing INXS in Philadelphia - it was the KICK tour. I was about 14 years old. The band was electrifying. It was my first concert, was amazing, and I will never forget it.

I'm not going to begin to try to say how much Michael and his (and the band's) music has meant to me, but I will say that if it weren't for Michael my life would be a whole lot different (I even wrote my final essay on this). Particularly after watching Mystify, through his story and his music I found the courage to be who I always wanted to be; someone who wasn't afraid to be themselves and someone who wasn't afraid to admit to themself that they too wanted to be a singer and make people feel as understood and loved as the music of INXS made me feel. It may sound small but I never thought for a second I'd ever have the confidence to tell anyone yet here I am, and this confidence has made me brave throughout other, particularly challenging, times. Michael taught me how to love and how to see beauty in everything.
