I recently viewed the “Live Baby Live” DVD of the band. It was an amazing concert (I wish I had been there). It looked as though all Band members and the Audience were having a great time.

Michael was a very talented singer and musician!! He had a lot of Energy and Great Stage Presence.

Micheal was truly a star! He is missed by all and we are fortuate to have been blessed with him for the short time that he was here on this earth.

1996-97 were dark and difficult times for many musicians as they were for me as well. The work Michael shared with us will be a historical reference for everyone who shares a fire for our profession, And this will continue for as long as we have the ability to remember, pass on, and preserve our medium. All the best,

Shinryo

I unfortunately still remember what I was doing when I heard the news. There is still a hole in my life knowing that there will be nothing new, ever, from Michael. He is sorely missed as I am playing Kick in my car's CD right now. It seemed like he was on the verge of taking over in more than one medium. It was as if he was about to enter a new phase in his life and bring other facets of his talents to the world in new forms. His acting was growing, his singing was always exceptional and his sheer presence always dominated wherever he was. I miss him and the potential that was taken away. I am sorry for the loss of his family and friends and hopefully they get a small bit of peace in their lives knowing he has touched so many others around the world. Take care...

So many years later, it seems surreal. Nights and days were filled with INXS. My teenage years were fun and tough, but INXS was the back ground music for them it means a lot. Music touches lives deeply, just as much as the written word. To see the INXS reality show here in the states is tasteless and vile at best. You are the only true superstar Michael. Peace to and your family and friends.

Oh how I truly enjoy your site. It will be 8 years in November that we lost one of the true rockers of our time. It's a day I will never, ever forget...I cried many tears that day and since. INXS meant the world to me, and I'm truly happy that we will be seeing more of all of you soon. The heavens gained a star when Michael left us, but we still deserve to be able to listen to INXS music here on earth....best of luck to the rest of you...we fans love you all dearly.

I can't find anywhere to post this on the Rockstar related sites, they don't want to hear it. I guess because like they say at their main website, “Michael's mum is an idiot and so are all the old fans.”
Michael WAS INXS. He must be spinning like a chook on a rotissarie in his grave, why don't the other band members dig up his grave and fuck his corpse up the arse too? That'd make a profitable Reality TV show. What a wank! & to think I used to like that band!
Anyway, i know you won't post this in the guestbook, but I just had to vent my spleen somewhere over this disgusting drama. I just can't believe they're doing what they're doing, refuse to allow critisisms or opinions on their websites, and especially saying his mum is an idiot along with the old fans; that's what really got to me.
You're at peace now Michael, in a better place, away from this pathetic world.
Have a nice eternal rest. Bless you mate.

From the mid 80's to mid 90's, INXS was a big part of my life! Mike has to be one of the best front men of all time. Its true what they say “Only the good die young” The world of music has not been the same since 97'..RIP MIKE !

No matter how many times I listen to INXS it still hits me each time that Michael's talent is no longer with us. My last memory of INXS was when 'Elegantly Wasted' was released as a single. The only member I was ever familiar with was Michael. I remember videos from earlier years and just thinking of how he was able to capture an audience and could look straight through a camera to the person on the other side watching. But back to 'Elegantly Wasted' for a moment. When I first heard the song I could swear that Michael was saying “Better than Oasis”. At the time Oasis was really taking off and it seemed to me that it would make an appropriate lyric. But alas my hears were deceiving me because INXS had no reason to be slanderous towards another band. Afterall they were already well established as hit song makers. I think no matter what happens in the future, fans of INXS will never forget Michael's legacy. I just hope that his daugther sees through continous fan tributes that he was loved worldwide. Best wishes to the family always.

Everytime I try to express in words the magic of you, Michael, but I always fail...what I read, after, never can mean my inner feelings, it's not possible to describe what you make me feel. You are a gift from God, and I know that even if I've never had the chance to know you personally. I think everyone of us feels the same about you.
I pray for you, I feel you are around, please stay around.
You're the one.

At Wembley in 1991, I experienced Live Baby Live, and though 72,000 people also attended the concert, there were moments when it felt like he was singing only to me. I'm sure I'm not the only fan who felt this. Michael had so many qualities that made him a truly unique, special and beautiful man.I miss him terribly, and always will.I have been a fan for years. Michael I pray you are happy and at peace. It took me a while to listen to INXS after you left us, but now I listen, loud and proud, and enjoy what you gave us, something noone else can ever replace. xxxxxxx
