A humerous note for those O/S who were not privvie to the wonders of an early eighties show called 'Simon Townsend's Wonderworld'. A regular segment was a music video clip of which INXS were the artists this particular afternoon. To this day I still remember Simon Townsend stumbling over the bands name. Instead of INXS, he bumbled out what he thought was pronounced 'inks is'. Rock on guys!
I want to say how great Michael was. I saw INXS live in Calgary in the late 80's and it was spectacular. Michael made the show - I wouldn't have known the rest of the band from Adam but Michael was impossible to forget. He was a natural performer who made it look easy, no matter how hard it really was for him.
To his family, be proud of all he accomplished and how well he is loved.

One of my happiest moments in life was spent with my best friend, Karen, watching Michael perform. We are all blessed to have experienced his presence on earth and are continually blessed to hear the music he left behind. Thank you for keeping this site open...it truly keeps us bonded in some kind of way to someone we truly love deeply.

A superb musician that tops any that came before or after. A loss that won't soon be forgotten, and a soul that will live on in all of us who he touched personally or through his music.
My first concert ever was INXS in 1991 during the X tour. Michael had it all: vocals, songwriting, stage presence, and uniqueness. He is very missed indeed and his legacy will go on forever. Thank you Michael for some of the best music in rock history.
I have been a fan of the band since I first heard, “Need you Tonight” at age 8. My step-dad introduced me to this band, and when the show came on, I was reunited with great music. It truly was a tragedy to lose such a musical icon, such as Michael, and I hope the new singer, is aware of the shoes he has to attempt to fill. Rest in peace, Michael, and Rock on INXS!!!!!!!!!

I am so grateful for this past summer and having INXS back in my life - they will be the band that I grew up to - Michael will always be missed - but what he gave me and all his fans will live on - I'm so excited for you guys!!!
