A day like today 8 years ago. The shocking news came on CNN as I woke up and was having breakfast. I just couldn't believe it.
That strange feeling is still around.

Today, unlike Michaels other anniversaries, I woke and said to my wife, “how quick has time passed since Michael Hutchence had passed away, 8 years today”.
8 years on and a lot has happened in my life, mostly good things, watching our children grow into young adults, and the next generation of INXS lovers and through they're enjoyment of INXS's music keeps Michaels memory alive.

I can't believe it has been eight years already. Although it is only the 21st here, it is the 22nd in Australia so I thought I would leave my message today. Michael, please know that you are, as always, in my heart and your music lives in my soul. As your candle burns tonight in my home, may your soul soar across the heaven knowing that you are not forgotten and are always loved. I wish that I had known that this site existed years ago. I would have made a point to visit before now.

Music that truly touches one heart and soul accompanied by a presence that was unfortunately too big for this world - this is how I choose to remember Michael. His art, voice and the beauty of his existence must be remembered and recalled in order to inspire us to live life out loud.
As I stand on the verge of creating a magazine that honors the best of lifestyle, art, fashion and music, I commit to those who loved him to never forget this beautiful man who passed through our lives and to never let his death tears us apart.
Michael, I look forward to meeting you next time around, although I never knew you personally. If only to hear your voice in heaven, the artist souls will know rest.
