Shortly after posting my remembrances, I stepped outside and witnessed the entire morning sky, filled with honking geese, flying south for the winter, and honking gleefully. Somehow, this is meaningful...hopefully as a sign of peace in the world for our children and future generations. We love you, Michael. Rest in peace...

Dearest Michael,
Today the years you've been gone number eight.
Memories of you are still ever so great.
I will never let your words be washed away
There are oceans to be named by you
You are my stars, my clouds, my sky
To me nothing will ever let you die
You are bigger then the sun
My heart you have forever won
The angels will hold you above
To show the world a perfect love
Your eyes so soulful and deep
At times they just want to make you weep
It was your depth, charisma, compassion and view
That made me so in tune with you
Your inner beauty always shone like a flame so bright
And now in heaven is one of its brightest light
To your spirit I will always remain true
So I'll raise my glass to you
To the most wonderful guy across creation
A modern day poet of our generation
Always be at peace dear Michael
Till we meet again...
Missing you so much.....

Keep shining like it does into every heart......

Michael has one of the greatest voices and no one could of made INXS what they are without him.He is and forever will be missed, but his legacy and knowledge of his musical talent will always be here. I speak in present tense b/c he is spiritually everywhere his voice will always be heard. He's a unique one.

10 long yrs since my dad passed yesterday-got thru that somehow..i hope to make it to the Darlo get together tomorrow night..seems sooo much longer than 8yrs since we all heard the unbelievable news of Michael's passing. The end of the poem Tina read at his funeral keeps me strong...'do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there & did not die'

Hey mate,
how's life up there....only rock & roll ??
Already 8 years...I remember seeing INXS play for the first time, the Sydney Easter Show in 1984. I just arrived from Holland to spend a year down under.

A life without you is a puzzle without the pieces,
Kept in heavens heart, your thought it leases.
To me and the others who thought so much to him,
Your light cant valid a goodbye, never grow dim.

With a heart of gold you're a shining star,
Thankyou for your voice, for spreading it so far.
Its true that those who cant do do without,
Ill never place confidence in the hands of doubt.

Your note will remain timeless...

My God, it has been a while since Michael died and I still find it very hard to believe it. I am 39 years old and grew up in INXS's heyday of the 80's playing alot of their songs with my band back then and still do play their songs today. Michael (in my heart) was and will always be the perfect Front-Man a band could have...both in singing and stage presence owning the crowd and the way he did it...imagine 1 man controlling thousands of people in a frenzy of some of the greatest Rock music ever writtten backed up by a GREAT and COOL Band as INXS. Michael will never be forgotten for being a great singer..performer...influence...and God Oh God he was FAR TOO YOUNG TO DIE but will always LIVE in our hearts. God Bless

Though I never met Michael or got to see a show, he is dearly missed. I remember always listening to the album “kick” with my older cousin Kelly when I was a teenager. Those were fun times and fond memories. Thank you. Michael will always be in our hearts.

I loved michael - i still can not believe he is gone. I am soon to be 40 years old and the loss of michael to me is as deep as the loss of my father in 1983. I think of michael often and play his music all the time and my 9 year old son loves it too.

Rest in Peace
Always in my heart
