Sad today to think that it's Michael's Birthday and he would have been 56. No doubt would have been one of the coolest 56 year olds ever! Still remembered, still respected and adored by so many that appreciated his talent. By all accounts he was also a loving, tender and giving person who still lives in everyone's heart that he touched.

I am a died hard fan and as I write this message on what would've been his 56th birthday, I remember how much I just adored and admired him. His beauty, his style, his sexy smile.... I still get goose bumps when I listen to his voice. I'm saddened to think of the pain he was in during his final moments, but I know he is with the angels now.

I will never forget the night you came to the reception desk of Rhinoceros Recording Studios at 10 o'clockat night, during the recording of 'X' (January 1990), to say hi to my sister and I and to take three cassettes of my own music to listen to and critique. Despite having only recently come off the crest of the wave that was the Kick world tour, you still had time for others.
As we stood there just chatting, you seemed more interested in our lives than talking about the song you were currently beavering away on in the studio - Suicide Blonde.
You died on my birthday, and even though I only really knew you through the stories you told in your lyrics, I attended your funeral as one attends the funeral of a long-time friend or close family member.
Because that is what you were to so many Michael - a family member. You spoke to us through your music and showed us your soul.
May that soul rest in heaven. You continue to inspire me even in death.
