Seen Inxs many years ago in Glasgow and was very impressed just by the pure energy Michael had.

God works in mysterious ways and perhaps had his reasons for taking this wonderful man from us.

One look in the eyes of Tiger tells us that Michael is here in spirit if not in body.

Rest in peace

A sad, sad tragedy. Even though I never had the opportunity to meet him or attend an INXS show it feels like the loss of a personal friend because I heard the music and viewed the media pictures of him daily. I have always considered the “KICK” album to be one of the greatest albums of the entire decade of the 80's. For that alone Michael, the band, and all of their families should be proud. But when looking at the big picture, “KICK” was just a small part of a truly talented, gifted life and career.

Hi to all the Hutchence family.

I would like to offer my condolences to you all, particulary to Tiger Lilly. I was backbacking in OZ and living in Rose Bay in Sydney the year Michael died. He was only up the road in Double Bay.

I was gutted when I heard the news as I have always been a huge INXS fan and I thought Michael was drop dead gorgeous. No one can deny him of that.

I went to the funeral a few days later and stood outside the church. I cried my own tears as I watched his coffin being lifted in and looked on as Kell and family, Kylie minogue, Helena Christiansen and of course Paula Yates walked into the church. No matter what has happened, I do ask you to open your hearts to Paula. She loved that man with all her heart. She is the mother of his beautiful daughter and she is still two years on very heart-broken. You only have to look into her eyes to see that. Kell, my message to you is one of strength and courage. I would like to offer you my appreciation for all the work you are doing by trying to keep the memory of Michael alive and believe me you do not have to try. He will never be forgotten. Even as far away as Ireland.

God bless,
Take care,

Love and peace to all of you

I was so saddened by the death of Michael. As a disc Jockey at an Albany radio station I have enjoyed his music for years. My husband committed suiside in 1992. I know the depth of the pain of losing a loved one so dear regardless of how they go, your heart is forever broken. Love and faith to the family. He really is where we will all be. You will be together again. This site is a beautiful tribute to a special life. God Bless.

Michael and INXS had the most original and coolest music going.

Just when I thought, what or what could they do next, they amazed me and made me luv music. Michael had so much charisma and the rest of the band blended so well with him.

I wish I knew him personaly and I wish I hung out with him.

God Bless u MH and long live INXS.

It's an honour, that I can sign this guestbook. I wasn't a very big fan of Michael, but he had a very good voice and I like the songs a lot.

I hope there will be a lot more people, who want to sign this guestbook.

And for Michael: Rest in Peace!

Love, Debbie.

Wow. What a lovely tribute to an an extremely talented man who was left us far too soon. Michael, Inxs, and their music was part of growing up in the 80's. Thank you Kell, for sharing Michael's life and spirit with us here!

Be Well....

He was/is larger than life! We have all been touched. Some of us even broken for a while! Thank goodness we have access to so many more ways in these days of technology to remember him by, like this wonderful site. And thank goodness he left us his words and his voice!

We remember him every day in countless ways. Thank you, love, peace and blessing to you, Michael! You are still with us. And thanks also to you, Mr Hutchence and family.

Thank You first to Mr. Kelland Hutchence, for forming this site. It is truly beautiful, with wonderful pictures of the family that I only heard about in interviews, yet never had a chance to see. Tiger Lilly is absolutley beautiful...she looks alot like Michael.

Thanks to a close friend of mine, I began listening to INXS in High School, I instantly became addicted. High energy, fun, passionate music. It's funny, but I became such a fan that each member became a part of my family! I would talk about them like we'd been friends for years!!!! “Did you hear what Michael said on MTV last night?!”

Finding out about Michaels death was shocking, saddening. I could'nt believe it. My heart went out instantly to the family, the band, but more than that to Tiger Lilly!

I was also sad for all the fans, myself included, to all the music we may miss. Then I realized, putting my Cd copy of “THE SWING & other stories” into the stero, I have a lifetime of music! Songs that, years ago, I sang to as I walked to school everymorning, and songs that I will be singing to for as long as I live!

I cannot wait for the release of Michael's solo album next year....new songs to sing to, and each note will be even more special!!!

Once again Thank You...and God Bless to you and your family!

Thanks Mr Hutchence for giving us the fans a place to come to when we feel sad or feel like celebrating Michael's life. It is a beautiful memorial which every one can be proud of. Michael has given us so much and this is our chance to give back. Michael and INXS were and still are inspirational and have played a big part in my life.

You showed me how to chase my dreams and you showed me that you can achieve any thing if you show pride, dignity and respect. Thanks for the good times Michael you made a difference in my life.

I stumbled across this tribute to Michael after reading about it in the local paper. I used to love listening to INXS in the 80's and think this personal tribute is beautiful. I'm sorry for the loss of your loved son and hope that over time, you feel just as close to him spiritually. Take Care.

You know, words can't decribe what Mike gave to us since what he gave was inspiration. I like to think that this inspiration will live on and everyone who listened to his music will feel the same way I did. Miss ya Mike.

I grew up with INXS music and always had a poster of Michael in my room. I am now 26 and cried when I saw the news. To all his family I wish to say that no one truly ever dies and he walks by your sides forever...he is truly a beautiful man.

Great site Mr Hutchence. I have just read through it all and felt very touched and at times felt shivers through my body as I read contributors memories of Michael. I have been a fan since the late 80's and for many years INXS were the only music I listened to. Michael was my idol, throught those years, I tried to look like him (as a rock star) and talk and walk like him. Now, I still look up to him, but not as a rockstar but as a person, and after reading so many fond memories, it would be nice just to have one of his many traits as a human being. I still love the music, and the words, and the new solo album is something I know he would be very proud of, as I am sure you. All of the contributors seemed to have been very touched by Michael, and I think to know him would have been a great priveledge. I know I feel that just to have shook his hand at a gig at Sydney Uni in 93 and again in 94 and the Hordern. One of my greatest memories is when he was introducing a song as “one of our first” “Just Keep Walking” I yelled - he looked straight at me and nodded. Michael meant a lot to me and still does. Michael was a star, but still Just A Man, a great Man.

I have enjoyed looking and reading through the site. It is so nice to think many others out there miss Michael as much as I do. I have been a fan for many years and I am very excited about the solo album. I can't say much more, except I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Dear Mr. Hutchence,

I wish I could express how much Michael Hutchence meant to me and my youth. I, like many others, fell under Michael and INXS' spell after seeing the video for New Sensation on MTV. Maybe it was his eyes, his poetic words, or his beautiful hair...whatever it was it captured me forever. I was never privileged enough to have seen INXS in concert, but that never kept me from being one of their greatest fans. My cat is even named Hutchence in Michael's honor. (My cat is 8 and 1/2 years old) I was lucky enough not to hear that Michael had passed away on t.v., but I heard it from my mother who woke me up to tell me about his death. I cried for the next week, wore my pajamas that whole weekend, and even now I still cry sometimes for a life cut short that was so in bloom. He was my inspiration to be a better writer, a better friend, a better love, and of course to be a bold, exciting person. I always admired Hutchence's ability to take chances and to stand out in a crowd. Some of my only comforts in his death have been that I have a wonderful Austrailian friend named Chelse who kept me updated by sending me all of the magazines that were done in tribute to his death. I cherish all of my INXS Memorabilia, Videos and CD's, and I guess after 11 years of being a fan that's really all I have. I am so proud to say that Michael Hutchence gave me so much, and he inspired me to believe in myself. My quote in my senior yearbook in high school said, “Sometimes you kick and sometimes you get kicked.” Thank you for this beautiful website and for having a son who was such a wonderful person, talented artist, and his words continue to be an inspiration to my life.

“Let the Music Heal Your Soul”

Michael's music, either through INXS or solo projects, has always been a source of enjoyment, love and medicine for my soul. I have been extremely fortunate to have been touched by his musical talents and have had my soul healed my his music. This site does not only give fans like myself the opportunity to remember this incredible musician, it allows every fan of music to celebrate in the life of an incredible man. Kelland, thank you for using this site to immortalize Michael - a more than fitting tribute to a more than wonderful human being.

Even though Michael passed away almost two years ago, it still proves unbelievable. That night in November 1997, I attended a Duran Duran show in Cleveland. The amount of INXS t-shirts worn by the crowd was incredible. Simon LeBon spoke about Michael and Duran played an incredibly moving version of “Save A Prayer” dedicated to Michael and his family. Simon cried, everyone cried. They will be forever linked in my mind. As will Michael Hutchence's pure talent and gifts. Thanks to the Hutchence family and friends for this moving tribute.
