* I’m on a team of naturopaths and remedial massage therapists in Warburton Victoria. One of the girls was fortunate enough to have met Michael after one of his gigs when he was hanging out with Molly in Melbourne. I would have liked to have met him too. So glad to have found this memorial for guests to write in ~ Thankyou to all of his relatives for their kindness and open heart to share this with us.

• Michael is an infinite source of creative inspiration for all of us as musicians, artists & natural healers who rise together with the longtime Sun -peace

When I was a toddler, my dad would record INXS videos from the tv's weekly Countdown for me- I'd yell, 'Kick the dirt! Kick the dirt!' (Kiss the Dirt). My favourite video clip. I was 12 when you passed and it felt like someone that I'd known all my life had gone. Still miss you, will always miss you. It's funny how you can miss someone that you never met. Sending you love.

I met INXS when I first saw the "Suicide Blonde" video, it was in 1990. A year later in 1991, the Soviet Union would collapse and there would be more Western music in my country. Then I already discovered "Mystify" and "Never Tears Us apart" and other songs.
Michael, I want to thank you for your music and everything you have done for this world. It was wonderful listening to you in the USSR, in Siberia at minus 30 degrees Celsius.

Dear Michael, you are on my mind today after I saw a YouTube video about you- I was a baby when you and INXS were taking the world by storm. In my later years I became aware of your music, I instantly liked it and have continued to love you and your music since. God bless you <3

I grew up in the 80's and INXS was a big part of my life since music was all we had to entertain us back then. I recently work up with Don't Change playing in my head so pulled it up and listened to it. I was flooded with memories from my youth and watching this band grow in popularity. That prompted me into exploring all about INXS and the numerous biographies about them and Michael. I really had no idea there was that much about his life and all they (he) went through. I wondered why I got so captured by their (his) story and then it dawned on me, he was a man that seemed to maintain his childlike innocence as an adult. You could tell he didn't have a malicious bone in his body and was also almost too vulnerable, especially to the media and those that would take advantage of him. It 's like looking at someone that you wished you would have retained in yourself; he looked at people, places, foods and reality with such joy and not the mundane, bitterness we slowly employ...if not careful. And the injury he sustained from not only his olfactory (smell) but also the frontal/temporal lobe caused such personality changes (Howard Hugh Syndrome) seem to steal all that away from him. Watching all his joy slowly be changed and driven out of him was a mirror to us all losing our own joy over time.
The Band was like no other in their stability and lasting friendship, ability to continue to play together as mates with a front man that had Mick J taking notes...will never be recreated. Prayfully he'll be in Glory but the rest of us are left to go on with this place as little bit darker without him in it. Godspeed MH

Every time I hear you sing I think of how precious you were and the joy you brought to my life. I listen to you sing all of the time and my children have grown to love your sound. My sweet seven year old really likes to sing all of your songs. It's great to know you will never be forgotten and the music will live forever.

I had the pleasure of seeing Inxs in concert in NOLA Worlds Fair 1984. They opened up for the Go-Gos. Although I liked the Go-Gos, I went to that concert specifically for Inxs. Saw them later at Pat O’Briens. To this day, I still talk about it. What a great guy he seemed to be.

still here
I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love,
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.
Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought:
So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.
..East Coker, T.S.Eliot
This is a very small part of ‘The Four Quartets by Eliot...the hope is in the waiting, wait..just wait. Wait for the right reasons , love is all in the waiting and the hope..wait for the right thing…x.
Watching live Rockpalast tonight…xox
