I am amazed at the continued influence of INXS. The resurgence of the impact of MH's talent and style seems to live on with a new generation. I recently saw the 1975 band, all I could think about being 49 years old and watching their lead singer roughly half my age, was how clear it was their singer was influenced by Michael. The INXS boys had influenced the whole band. The band and singer we all love live on!

Praying that 2024 will bring peace to all….
I was a teenager in high school when I heard
Inxs play, from the album “ KICK”…..
I loved all their songs… I always wanted to go see them live in concert. I heard their song and watched the video “ Elegantly wasted “…
Super cool song. Best wishes to the Hutchence Family this New Year…

I first heard your mesmerising voice while still in high school. My first concert in 1984. Still listening to you now. Sadly missed.

The one song I always listen to is "Never Tear Us Apart" by INXS. Michael Hutchence was simply a genius... this was back when I was in my early twenties. I will always love his songs. May he rest in peace! xoxo Kelly

The first time I saw Michael and INXS was in the early 80s at the Bayou in Washington DC. At the time I lived in Georgetown right down the street so I would pop into the club every so often to catch a show. It was a weeknight, not a very big crowd and I think it was their first tour of the US. I remember reading later that they used to play just some pretty rough crowds in the early days in Australia which made sense considering how many F bombs were dropped that night between songs. It was all very charming if not surprising because Michael had such a way about him.I sat on the upper level by the mixing board with a great view of the stage. The band had such phenomenal raw energy and to this day it was one of the absolute best live shows I've ever seen and remember it like yesterday. When the band went on break they had to walk past my table to the dressing room and their energy with electric. Seriously! I'll always remember that night because INXS was still unknown in the States and there they were, in a small club in DC, and I was lucky enough to just happen to be there before they hit it big .Thanks for letting me share the experience here.

What a blessing you were to the world. So much talent. So beautiful. So sweet. What a gift you were to everyone who heard you sing. I wish I had known you personally. Number one band of all time. Your music is timeless.

Your music is timeless. You were by far the coolest male lead vocalist of our time. In my opinion, you top Mick, Bono, Sting and Eric Clapton because of your talent, stage charisma, voice and presence. My husband was watching you on YouTube this am. We started watching all of your videos and are still blown away by you! Alison and Eric xoxo.

A man and artist that was full of charisma, full of passion, full of special energy. Yes a man with a sensitive sould and heart. You were and still are a great inspiration to me as a singer, as a performer, and as a person. You left us too soon. And you are greatly missed. Also you deserved better because you gave the world SOOO MUCH!!

Twenty six years since you left this world. A lifetime has passed but you remain in so many hearts. A testament to what you gave. You deserved better in return. Loved always ❤️

I hope you are at peace. I was in high school when you passed. Still remember the breaking news that came on MTV with Kurt Loader. I was completely in shock. I can go back to all the feels I had that day, when I think of you.
My 1st band I saw in concert, my 1st concert tee I wore out in one Summer. The devil tee, which my Christian mom hated. I felt like a little rebel wearing it. My 1st rock star mad crush. My 1st of many exceptional talents we would see die too young. Not enough time. Thanks for the memories M.

After seeing the ‘Australian Story’ episode this week on the ABC, I remember when I worked at the Westmead hospital after the youngest daughter of Jimmy Barnes was born and came across the generous donations made especially by Michael and the other INXS band members.

Thank you Michael and INXS for the wonderful memories. 💖
