Hello, it's been a few months since I signed the guestbook. I enter today because Michael's birthday is close, (a very special date for me which I'll never forget. I was born on June, 1960, Michael in January, the very same year! I feel privileged of being a contemporary person to Michael. My daughter's birthday is January 20, almost the same day as Michael's! Too much coincidence. Anyway, for these and for other good reasons: Michael baby, wherever you are, happy birthday!!! I'll try to be a better person every day to see my dear ones in Heaven when my time comes, and among them certainly you are. Meantime, please Mike, be my guardian angel!

4 years has gone, and still we feel that we miss Michael just as much as we did when he no longer could go on. But still, I feel that the song We Are Thrown Together on INXS last album Elegantly Wasted speaks for itself, in the end when Michael sings:- Won't you take my hand, it feels like this was a sign that Michael wanted to feel free. I still remember the last interview with Michael, I still wish that if there was anything we could had done to make him stay, we whould all support him as much as possible battling his drugs problems. I'm sure that his family did, but still, he didn't deserve to die. But let's not cry too many tears, he is resting now peacfully and his spirit will be with us all forever.

Lots of love from

Daniel

I think it's neat that my 2 favorite band singers were friends - INXS and U2. Michael & Bono seem like such deep, deep people (I suppose I am too). I can't wait to meet them in heaven (if not here for Bono). Such a deep spiritual root in their songs - truly a gift - It heals us & lifts us higher - Michael's music is still inspiring people! The gift continues. My 4y.o. daughter knows that Michael sings the song about the stars that shine above you, kiss you every night. God bless and look after Tiger & Michael's family & close friends - Amen

Mr. Hutchence,

Thank you for this website. It is such a loving tribute to Michael. As a teen in the eighties I loved Michael and INXS. This site shows who Michael truly was and makes him more real and less of a rock icon. As a parent, I cannot imagine the loss of my beloved child. May God be with you, as I know there will always be a sadness there.

I have just finished reading “ Just a Man”, and it really has made me appreciate Michael's life, music and INXS, so much more. This is a wonderful website, and I'm sure Michael would be very proud of the work you have put into it!

Words can't say what I'd like to say but I hope my posting on this beautiful memorial website, says something.

I never had the pleasure of seeing Inxs live and when I did I passed it up. Something I will truly regret forever. But what I do remember is growing up having the boys plastered all over my room and their artful sounds filling my house and heart.

It's only after being asked to do an Aussie Quizz for Australia Day that I found this wonderful page full of love and inspiration.

That is why I came here today, and still the tears surface and the lumps in my throat form.

Michael was and still is a great Artist of Australia and a great Son of our land.

My sympathies to Michael's family, friends and associates.

Great people come and go, but memories still remain....

These are the lyrics of the U2 song dedicated to Michael.

STUCK IN A MOMENT
--------------------------------

I'm not afraid of anything in this world
There's nothing you can throw at me
That I haven't already heard
I'm just trying to find a decent melody
A song that I can sing in my own company

I never thought you were a fool
But darling, look at you
You gotta stand up straight, carry your own weight
These tears are going nowhere, baby

You've got to get yourself together
You've got stuck in a moment and
now you can't get out of it
Don't say that later will be better
Now you're stuck in a moment and
you can't get out of it

I will not forsake, the colors that you bring
The nights you filled with fireworks
They left you with nothing

I am still enchanted by the light you brought to me
I listen through your ears,
and through your eyes I can see

And you are such a fool to worry like you do
I know it's tough, and you can never get enough
Of what you don't really need now...
my oh my

You've got to get yourself together
You've got stuck in a moment and you can't get out of it
Oh love look at you now
You've got yourself stuck in a moment and
you can't get out of it

I was unconscious, half asleep
The water is warm till you discover how deep...
I wasn't jumping... for me it was a fall
It's a long way down to nothing at all

You've got to get yourself together
You've got stuck in a moment and
you can't get out of it
Don't say that later will be better
Now you're stuck in a moment and
you can't get out of it

And if the night runs over
And if the day won't last
And if our way should falter
Along the stony pass

And if the night runs over
And if the day won't last
And if your way should falter
Along this stony pass
It's just a moment
This time will pass

I was delighted to see that the U2 song “Stuck in a moment” has been nominated for a Grammy award.

The song is dedicated to Michael. Basically, it is the conversation Bono would have liked to have had with Michael in the hours before his death.

It is great to see that this tribute to friendship is being honoured in such a way.

Thoughts and prayers are with Michael, Paula and baby Tiger as we enter 2002. May Tiger blossom in to a lovely young woman.

I recently read the “Just a Man” book and was saddened by certain chapters. Obviously Patricia and Tina feel a loss but I don't think destroying Paula's memory or insulting Rhett or Kelland is the way to go about honouring Michael.

Then again everyone grieves differently and far be it from me to judge them. Just to say that I felt a little sorry for Mr Kelland Hutchence and his son Rhett by the time I finished reading it.

Rhett in particularly seems to have been portrayed in a far from flattering manner.

However, Rhett still comes across as being a exuberant, larger than life character. It can't have been easy living as a rock stars younger brother. But I am sure his wit made up for it!

Congratulations on the website and best wishes for the future.

As a thoughtful and loving Christmas gift,my loving fiance Sally (I miss & love you lots “fuzz” and my little baby pumpkinbear...and baby Hannah!!) had picked up the latest anthology CD which I think chronicles the storied life and times of the band. The CD provides the packed energy I so look for when I listen to it...(Thanks my pumpkinbear again for the gift...love always and forever)

While growing up in the 1980's,INXS was without question,my favorite band to listen to and still my favorite band to this day. The music they made and produced sets the tone for what kind of a day I'll have...my deepest thoughts and prayers will and always be with Michael and all of his family and friends...his charm and grace, not only as a person himself, but the energenic way he presented himself on stage was appealing to myself and to the rest of his devoted fans out there...I speak on behalf of everyone out there who shares my thought...to conclude,as a follower of INXS,especially Michael,I myself could relate and understand the pressures of living life with no bounderies and direction. It's never easy, especially when you are well known.I wish Michael could have put an end to the way he was living towards the end of his life...nevertheless we all love and care for Micheal...forever!!

It is sad to lose a talent so sensitive. Sensitivity is probably the reason for such a loss...

And was the reason for much beauty as well in this life...

Michael is part of a story in a Sunday tabloid today about Kylie Minogue and it reminded me of what a sad loss his death has been. I'd just like to offer my sympathies and thoughts. I saw Tiger in Brighton once with Paula. It was a beautiful summer's day and Tiger was perched on the shoulders of one of Paula's pals as they strolled along - seemingly without a care. God bless. x
