I was introduced to INXS at the tender age of 14 by my brother..I'm now 31.INXS formed a part of my journey from adolescence into adulthood. How many bands can be accredited to that? Not many. Just last week I was looking for something & found all the newspapers that i'd kept following the death of Michael which were safely kept. It was strange because I'd been listening to 'welcome to wherever you are' the day before which i've not heard for a while.
Michael may be gone from this life but he'll never be forgotten in the minds of those of us who he touched with his voice.

Thanks for all the memories - my youth comes streaming back to me more vividly from your music than any other of my past. It was a music of reflective optimisim and hope.........you are missed.

As I grow older, I feel so much of the passion in the music I once listend to only for pleasure. Michael's vocals are so powerful.

i first discovered INXS when they released the “Kick” album,it blew me away,and since then i continued to by every susequent release by the band.i like most people was devastated on hearing Michaels death,i just couldnt take it in,i blamed paula,living in the u.k,i had grown up with her on the tv over here a lot,i never really cared for her,costantley seeking attention,be it through the tabloids or media.
I have just read the book by Michaels mum and sister,it was about time someone wrote the truth,i was very moved by the book,and felt both of there pain.
There will never be another like him,long may his memory go on,and such a fantastic site like this dedicated to him,thankyou.Best wishes,Darren.

Music has the ability to touch everyone in one way or another.
Michael, along with his band, has been able to do this on a worldwide scale.
I hope his family/friends are able to draw comfort in the fact that he still has a place in all his fan's hearts (which is very well apparent)and will never be forgotten.

One of the things I most regret in my life is the fact that I really only discovered INXS in 2002, when “Definitive”was released. Gladly for me, this was not “definitive” (!!) but the beginning of a strong identification with an inspiring music. Since then, I've made a great effort to find and buy almost all CDs and DVDs ever released in Europe.
I can't put in simple words the way INXS are now present in my life… I have special songs that I ear when I'm feeling blue or when I'm feeling happy… or when I just want to hear something…
Nowadays, I only wish that my future life will allow me to make my dream trip to Australia and finally pay my respects to Michael, not only in thoughts like I do now, but also in Michael's home country, seeing the same places he saw and loved so much.
Thank you all INXS band members, and thank You, Michael, for sharing with all of us your talent, for being one of the most shining stars ever, and also for giving us a bit of your soul throughout your music.

Well where does one start? I read a comment from one of the guestbook signees,and she said that she is a little disappointed that inxs are searching for another singer.I agree,and dissagree,I am one of thousands I'm sure, who is auditioning for the position.I do not take this opportunity lightly,I am not there to pretend to be Michael nor am I doing this for any kind of glory,riding the gravy train..so to speak.!I have followed,seen and met the band over the years and have a natural affiliation with Michaels style,I do not look like him,nor do I wish to..My objective is to simply perform the songs as best as I can,and I would be just as choked to sing them as to listen to them....This is of course if I even get choosen.I do understand however that she is upset,I feel it too,So as I have said,I would do it with integrity and honour...I hope I get the chance to do such a beautiful thing.Im so happy he is not and will not be forgotten.Best wishes to all

The hair. the look and of course the sound. I was pissed for a long time but we go when we go i guess. I will never forget the emptyness at the U2 concert at the Alamo Dome in San Antoinio in 97. Michael will always be the spirit of the band i so respect and admire. Miss you Mr. Hutchence. God bless always....

Being a drummer I have always found Michael to be an inspiration in my musical career. It's still hard to grasp the fact that such an incredible talent is gone but will never be forgotten. In my eyes he was the coolest frontman that a great band could have had. I hope his family finds peace during this time of the year.

From the very first moment I saw INXS on MTV with “The One Thing” I was hooked! My heart still mourns the loss of Michael, but he continues to live on in the music. INXS is still my FAVORITE BAND! I will always love You Michael Hutchence!
