Its hard to express it words what Michael ment to me. I became a fan was I was a kid, probably about 11, and followed the career of inxs to its conclusion. To be honest, he was the only person i've ever really wanted to “be” .I met Michael once, during a soundcheck at Birmigham NEC when I was 17 (with Kirk and Tim), and he was a top fella. Really pleasant and very down to earth...and they played “Melting In the Sun” for me, which was cool.

I know the truth will come out one day about his death. Rest in peace Michael.

Paul

I'ts so great that this site is created! INXS music makes me happy when i'm down, it's fantastic. Michael has gone but we still can listen to his voice and music; I can hardly find words to express all my feelings about INXS! They aren't like anyone else, they are unique! With eternal LOVE! Anna

Dear Michael,
there's a lot of people here that loves you, thinks of you every day and will be missing you forever...it's a big comfort for people like me, who can't still realize what's happened seven years ago.
So big your star, dear Michael.
You, shining star.

What an absolutely beautiful tribute of a site. You've conveyed the man inside the icon so distinctly and passionately...I was surprised at how moved I found myself.
I attended the Canadian INXS audition last Friday, and was called back on Sunday for further auditioning, and was just surfing around trying to ground myself in 'all things INXS' when I happened on this site.
INXS were huge here in Canada much earlier than other places around the world, and they were a mainstay on our turntables and cassette decks (yikes!...pre-CD!!)while I was in high school in the late 80's, so when I heard last week that they were holding auditions, I couldn't help but attend. I went in knowing that the fellas could NEVER 'replace' Michael...they could only forge off in a new direction, and that fact has been hammered home to me by your wonderful tribute. Thankyou and God bless.

Where Michael, (also my middle name), was standing, I was there. The only difference being somehow that I survived. I haven't really had the chance to pursue my passion, performing these last years. Wish I'd hear about the audition process before it took place. Would have been an honour just to step in, if only for a moment. Rest well.

It still seem unbelievvable that Michael is no longer with us,however the pain of his loss is lessened by his forever living sound ala his unique and dynamic voice that will live on forever. Thanks for the tunes, the shows and your charisma. All the best to the band in their quest for a new vocalist. Ps:--- I am a damm good singer, look me up (have a great day)

i loved Inxs, esp. Mike since i was 10 or 11, i was deeply crushed when he died, and finally got to see them in concert the Septemper before he died. I didn't stay at the concert long, I was pregnant and tired, but i was just happy with those moments. I understand that the band has to move on and all but this contes thing sucks, and is like spitting on his memory, they could have gone a better route......
