It's hard to believe that it's been nearly ten years. Today, I decided to comb through all my old INXS & MH solo stuff & make a compilation for my car. I never got to see them live, but really dug his later work, especially “Welcome to Wherever You Are”. I guess the memory that really stands out the most, is me singing karaoke to “Elegantly Wasted” in a small town called Hermiston during the summer of 97. His memory is still alive, RIP!!
true talent, u will be missed
We will never forget how much we loved listening to your songs. They will always be in our memories and we still stay up late and dancing to your songs.

Will Miss you always. From the first song I heard back in 1983 to your last. Thank you for your music, my children will grow up knowing who you are because I will continue to play it and love it forever.
Michael Hutchence was the greatest rockers to ever walk this earth. I still jam to his music ever day and will miss him always. But he did leave us all with some great music and memories.
I have been an INXS fan since 1984 and will continue to be forever. It's funny how you can be stunned and extremely saddened by the death of an individual you have never met nor probably ever would have met, but that was my reaction to Michael's death in 1997. I missed him at that moment and still miss him eight years later. However, I am so grateful that I had the chance to admire and be so intrigued by Michael's lyrics and presence. INXS has been and will always be a crucial part of my musical identity, and, in large part, I can thank Michael for that. Thank you, Michael, for being a part of some of the best memories of my life. You certainly have made this life worth living. May I meet you someday and thank you “in person.” 🙂

I've loved INXS since '86, and Michael was obviously the biggest part of that. Listening to his lyrics over the period that I grew from a teenager to an adult, and following the journey of his views and stories, made a huge impression on me and helped shape me into who I am.
I met Michael and Garry while they were on the “X” tour in Cleveland in 1991. That was one of the biggest highlights of my life. The show, the pictures, and the autogrpahed guitar from the whole band.
I really enjoy seeing the band back in action, and knowing that they'll continue to carry Michael's memory and music forward. I hear his voice alive in the songs, and it still moves me and touches me. I'll miss him forever.

This is a wonderful site and a beautiful tribute to Michael. INXS was one of the greatest bands of the times and one of my favorites in high school and college. I have treasured memories of seeing and meeting them when they toured San Francisco in the '80s. Those are times that I will never, ever forget. I had a crush on Michael, of course (who wouldn't?), so his passing hit me very hard. But this site is such a great way to respect and pay homage to a man who brought such pleasure to so many.
I just rented Live Baby Live and watched it several times, reliving some of those fantastic concert moments. What a performance the band gave! So alive, so energetic, so present.
I'm getting married this October, and my wonderful fiance has agreed to let me walk down the aisle to “Shine Like It Does.” Michael lives on, wherever he may be . . .

The voice of Michael and the music on INXS still leaves a void in todays music world. I will always remember seeing the band in concert twice. Once I tossed a bracelet on stage on Michael put it in his jacket. that was the highlight of my grade 9 year!
Like everyone else, I miss your talent, and voice.

There is no replacing Michael. I am still in shock that someone would even want to try. May his spirit always live on thru the genuine INXS music!
I was lucky enough to see INXS during their LISTEN LIKE THIEVES tour in a small venue on a hot summer night in Charlotte, NC. I remember Michael said the night reminded him of home. The audience was hypnotised by the unbelievable voice and wonderful stage presence of Michael Hutchence.
I got to see INXS again several years later at Charlotte Coliseum headlining with Ziggy Marley during the KICK tour. Bigger stage and more lighting and audio than before, but still the same personal connection with each person in the crowd. Two awesome shows that I will never forget.

I still feel a sadness in my heart when I see his image on television or on the internet. His time shuldn't have been so soon, times like these moments I wish we really could turn back time like superman to repair events for the future. My sympathies goes out to all who loved and cared for him. I know only too well what it's like to lose a father when I was extremely young,. Take care

Michael changed my life. His emotional lyrics, music and dramatic death pulled everything into focus for me. I will remember him forever, and his music will live with me forever.
Je ne ma lasse jamais d'écouter ce son si particulier de ce groupe d'exception. Ta voix nous manquera Michael! Merci pour ce site! Les documents (photos et videos) sont vraiment de bonnes idées!
HE WAS, IS, AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE GREATEST! THE BAND MUST CONTINUE, BECAUSE THEY ARE GREAT TOO .
“MICHAEL, YOU ARE NOT DEAD, YOU ARE JUST GONE AWAY FOR A WHILE!” (SORRY FOR THE EVENTUALY WRITING ERRORS !)
