Michael, I hope that wherever you are, you know how much you are loved and missed. As a new generation of fans are discovering INXS and your irreplacable talent, I wish you had realized the impact your loss would have on the entire world: to your loved ones, to music, and your many fans--some of whom weren't old enough to have had the chance to see you perform live. If only you had known this, maybe you would still be with us, singing the songs you wrote and brought to life with an electricty music hadn't seen in a long, long time before you took the stage. I hope you know now. Love & prayers.

I still miss Michael so much. And that has special resonance for me because I had a cousin Michael, whom I was very close to, who also committed suicide. It's so hard to accept.

INXS was my first big concert in August 1986, in London, Ontario. I'd been a fan since the Swing, and I couldn't believe I was actually getting to see them live, especially since I lived in a little farming community, called Woodstock, Ontario. My cousin and I went to the show, and it was the most amazing, incredible thing I'd seen. Every time they came back to Canada, from then on, I saw them. In Toronto, where I now live, in Ottawa, where I used to live, and several more times in Toronto. My favourite was a small show they played at the Phoenix, in May of 1993.

Michael was so full of life, charasmatic, intelligent. He really thought about things. I loved his shirt that read 'Watch the World Argue', and the song, 'Dancing on the Jetty'.

It's so sad that in a moment of desperation, not being in his right mind he killed himself. So much promise, fulfilled and anticipated, gone. I suffer from depression too, so I do sympathize with others. I understand those suicidal thoughts, but it breaks my heart so much to lose people I love so much. And Michael is one of those people. I will always love him.

INXS lost someone that they will never replace but I know Michael would want the band members to keep playing as long as they can. INXS made a statement on the world in the 80's ad 90's and I hope it continues. They will always be #1 on my list of bands. I really miss Michael but I know the other members will find someone comparable but will never fill his shoes.
Thanks for all the fantastic music over the last decades.

INXS brings back a lot of childhood memories for me. I grew up with them and back in the eighties MTV was a novelty. When I see Michael performing today it still brings me back to how I felt when I was young and saw him. He had such a strong presence, unlike performers today. Not only was he a talented musician, but he was a rare perfomer who was in touch with his music amd himself. This is rare today.

I have truly been blessed to have enjoyed and touched emotionally by the music and performances of Michael. This memorial site is such an amazing tribute to a cherished soul...I have been moved to tears again and again. Beautiful Tiger Lily, your father's soul reflects so brightly and intently in your eyes, what a legacy he left you. I am grateful for the opportunity to have viewed this memorial site. Thank you & God Bless!

I saw INXS three times, and each time Michael was amazing! But, the first time was the best because I had a chance to meet Michael; I even jumped on him, a starstruck teenager!

Memories of Michael will forever live on with me . . .

Michael - Everytime I think about that fact that you are not here anymore, my heart breaks. I physically ache at the thought of your absence and the loss to your band of brothers. INXS was my band, I was the one that turned hundreds around me on to you. From junior high school, overnight camp through college to a party I was at the other day, I have always talked about INXS.

I love you
I miss you

- your fan always - Jennifer
