Being in a rock n' roll band has been a goal of mine ever since I was a young child. Growing up through the 70's, 80's and 90's, I was blessed with the gift of being born at a time when some of the greatest rock n' roll entertainers lived and died. My parents always encouraged me to listen to anything and everything to expand my musical horrizons. I was always drawn to the front man of the band for his abilty to perform while enticing the crowd even through the television screen. I have many front man influences and Michael is one of the more important ones. I first saw Michael on MTV and was blown away. He was like a recipe for rock n' roll. He had the right look, moves, and a voice that still echoes through the hearts and souls of every INXS fan. He is someone that I think of everytime I step up to the microphone to belt out my own lyrics that I know down deep have a touch of Michael in them. I am truley thankful to have been able to enjoy Michael's talents and one day hope to have the same effect on someone somewhere on this planet like Michael has had on me. He will be forever missed. His is the voice that did and continues to inspire people all over the world. His is the smile that lightens up the darkest of days. His was the death that devastated his friends, his family and his fans.
Reading this site shows how much he is missed. I miss him and i didn't even meet him. And now, i never will.
But spiritually he is still with us. His fantastic music and voice makes me smile everytime i hear it (about 20 times a day!!!). So when i want to block out the bad things in my day and just smile i turn up my inxs cd, sing along as loud as i can and dance around the room.
There will never be a man like him, so passionate and beautiful.
Michael, you were, are and will continue to be a legend forever.

I can remember the first time I ever saw an INXS video and heard Michael's wonderful voice. I am a huge Doors fan, and all I can say is I was truly mesmerized by Michael, and I knew that I had found someone who could reach into my very being and take hold of my soul the way I had only thought Jim Morrison's voice and words could. I also remember the day I learned of his death. I cried as if I had lost a close, personal friend. I know some people thought I had lost my mind, but that is how deeply Michael and his words and music touched me. My life has always been defined by music, and Michael was a huge part of that. He may not be here with us anymore, but he lives on in his music, for which I thank God, and he lives on in Tiger, who I know will make him proud. My thoughts and prayers are always with his family, as losing someone is a hurt that never goes away. God bless you Michael and your family!

i grew up lisening to your voice micheal, since i was a little boy lisening to original sin & never tear us apart. ill never forget you & what youve done for me musicaly. your spirit is within my soul when i play inxs records in the clubs, your voice sends emotional staggering pains threw my body to know you are gone. i hope you are in a better place. rest in peace
