Being only 17, i wasn't there when INXS were the littrually the 'new sensation' in rock 'n' roll, and i wish that i was alive or even old enough to experience what Michael and INXS gave to millions around the world through their music. When i first heard INXS i was 9 years old, the song was 'Need You Tonight' and my first reaction was 'Who is this band, INXS, and, oh my god, who is this man with this talanted voice!' And it was true, Michael had the most talanted voices i had ever heard and so i continued to listen and talk about how great they were(i should also point out that most of the girls my age were listening to Hanson or the Backstreet Boys, so no one really cared about what i had to say about 'some old band'). Now being olded, and have listen to more music, old and new, i will still say that Michael is the most talanted musician and gifted writter. My thoughts go out to his family and friends and i know as long as we listen to the music he made, his memory will live on forever. ROCK ON MICHAEL!

belated wishes wherever you are Michael. Thankyou for all the wonderful memories, every new release by the band was like a breath of fresh air in a very tired industry. July 13th 1991 will live with me forever, what a night, what a performance, safely the greatest rock concert ever!
Miss you loads

I went away to Wembley in 1991 the best concert of my life, the best group of my life, I will never forget it has been an irreplaceable loss, I adore INXS but already it is not the same thing without Michael's voice

Fantastic site and it's wonderful to see that it is driven by the family. I never got to see him sing live but he will always live on through his hugely successful music. What a tragic waste and loss to the world.

Matthieu / French Frog band, 27.01.2007
Paris / France
Michael Hutchence, R.I.P, ex singer of INXS, was living downstairs in 1992.
At this time, Helena Christensen, his girl friend, rented a flat to my sister in law, Rue des Canettes, Paris 75006.
Michael and Helena were so discreet, just 2 lovers in a cozy place. I crossed Michael hundred times, especially for the trashcan mission, lol. It was quite surreal seeing this guy doing it, while he was filling stadium and selling tons of albums. He was so natural and kind. Remember that, journalist assholes saying idiocies about him. I never had the balls to invite Michael to a gig. That's stupid, because I think most of the time he was bored, just waiting Helena to come back from her fashion shot. 1992 was the time I had my first kid, Hugo, and they saw him, hold him in their harms. My ex wife had an autograph, saying lots of love. This autograph, a superb black and white picture with a snake and them naked, inspired me the beautiful snake song. The song was supposed to be a present, a private joke, to reward them. This was the first song of French Frog, my new rock and roll period, after years of jazz rock, funkadellic, ska and other style. I was just discovering how to play guitar, using this G open tuning that I never left. Is Michael the godfather of French Frog Band? Not really. But in the chaos of life, Michael was a seed of rock and love. He was this seed in INXS and in real life. Michael also changed my vision of OZ people. I love them, I heart OZ. I made 3 versions of Beautiful snake. The last one is influenced by Easy Rider album I often listen. I wanna live into this old original vynil. It's just perfect. It's also a big hug to deep America people, from the trucker to the biker. I tried to simulate the heroin effect, doing decadent rythm and putting double drums. Cause, now I think this song is about dope. But it could talk about any secret garden, secret games, we all have.

Beautiful snake (c) French Frog - 1992-2007
My women got me pictures of a beautiful snakeNow she's gone, I must meet you.
I told her what you do to me.
I love her as things you do to me.
Now she's gone, I must meet you
When I'm alone, don't know what I do
Oh please.

Kind regards to Helena and the Hutchence family. Michael was a good man.

Happy Birthday, Michael. Today is my birthday, I forgot how close our b-days were. I miss you. You have been an inspiration in my life. I have been touched by your songs, words, your life. Even though we'd much rather have you here, I'm grateful to have your music. See you soon, Angel xo

Sorry I never got the chance to see you live! The pounding energy in your song “What You Need”, has seen me through some dark moments and lifted me up with your joyful song. May your early departure from this world be a message to others, sometimes burdened with genius & soul, that you don't have to fit in. Just follow your own path and stay strong.

The one song NEVER TEAR US APART is the most touching song i have ever heard. I am now 40 and my son of 5 almost knows this song by heart. He just loves the album and song. Told my wife that this song will be played at my funeral.

Just thought i would pay my tribute to someone who could perform like no other. When i watch your videos they always inspire me,i always feel i have missed out on something and that i should achieve more. Sadly i lack your confidence, style and charisma. I don't play your music often as then keeps it special but when i do it rocks out.
You are sadly missed but i know your Shining Star will never Disappear.
