Well, It's been 10 years synce Michael's death. His star is still shining brightly on the blue sky. He was the last big Rock legend and I'll always remember him. He and the music of INXS were part of my childhood. I started growing hair because of him (Ha Ha). Rest in peace dear Michael.
Hard to believe it's been 10 years since Australia and the world lost an amazingly talented performer and songwriter. Even though I was a bit too young to fully appreciate INXS during it's time with Michael, I always saw them as the greatest rock band to come out of Australia & was so proud that an Australian band was able to conquer the world like they did - thanks to Michael. I can not put into words the impact that Michael's songs have had on me, and continue to do so well after his passing. And I believe that this impact will follow on for generations to come, and because of this, the legacy of Michael Hutchence will live on forever.

I wish to post my thoughts on the life that I gained through being in love with Michael Hutchence and INXS!
In times so bleak for me, whilst I was growing up, I alwayz reliably had something so strong and passionate to hold onto and feel ok, and that was the lyrics and the most amazing songs created by INXS. which in return kept me alive.
I became a groupie and met Michael in 1993 in Melbourne, and I had the extreme pleasure of telling him 'that if I ever get married, this day that I met him would mean more to me.' 'I promise!'
Michael signed my 2nd scrapbook (I have 10) and he insisted that he pick it up off the floor after I dropped it because I was shaking so much 🙂
He was such a gentleman and made my life time experience of meeting him, the most amazing experience I could have ever imagined.
The most amazing picture of us was also taken, and it is truly divine.
So I thank you Michael and I thankyou INXS for giving me the hope and guidance that I desperately was looking for.

Wow, ten years! Like everyone else here I can hardly believe it. Went to work on what seemed a regular Saturday morning on 22/11/97 - only for my friend to tell me the terrible news. It felt like I had been punched - I was physically winded. I know that sounds dramatic now, especially as we had never met, but Michael and the band played such a huge part in my formative years growing up - my best friend Janene and I used to watch Top of The Pops religiously, when we knew the guys would be on - we recorded every performance, evry clip of them, maan, we wore those tapes out.
Thanks for the music and your views on the world. You were such an inspirtion to me, and helped make me into the 'lefty' I have become. My parents, especially my dad were as clued up about all things INXS as much as I was - they had no choice really - they had to live with my aussie obsession for many years. And my dad used to drive me insane by calling you INKS - he sooo did that on purpose. LOL

What can I say, I'm 27 and listen to Michael and INXS neally every day, have flown to Sydney so I can pay my respects in my own way, Miss u Michael You were and still are my favourite performer of my lifetime.

November 22nd 1997 is bitter sweet for us. It is our 10 year wedding anniversary, as well as the 10 year anniversary of the passing of Michael. We remember hearing the news that day, at our reception, shocked and disheartened. We are fortunate to keep Michael's memory alive through music, and sharing it with our 3 young kids. They have been to 3 INXS concerts over the past year, and got to meet the band. But they still recognize Michael on the radio and watch his videos on DVD. The kids ask if he is an angel now, and I tell them absolutely. As many lives as he touched through music, I am sure he is watching over now. His soul is at peace and with his loved ones. Michael will always have a special place in the hearts of our family. He is greatly missed.
Wow........ten years has flown by. But still I love listening to Michael's music more and more every day. You had such an effect on everyone you touched, spoke to and those who listen to your amazing words. You will live on in my memory for ever Michael.
I can only repeat what many people have said, such a waste that he left us so young. I just hope he knows how much his music ment to me and so many others and what a huge part of my life it was. He is still sadly missed.

Thank You Michael for the wonderful music you have given us. I still find it hard to believe that it has been a decade since you left this world. You will always be remembered by those who loved you, even those who never met you, thanks to your music, feel like we know you if only a little. I cried on that terrible day ten years ago, as if you were a member of my own family and I am tearful now as I listen to your music and write this. That is how you touch people even ten years later. I hope you are finally at peace with yourself.

It is so difficult thinking of Michael being gone. I listen to him, and INXS music every day. I watch the videos every day. I have my grandchildren singing his songs. They argue over which is the best. Michael will not be forgotten.
When I am in my car driving and I want to cheer up I listen to you Michael. You still make me so very happy with your incredible voice. Omaha, Nebraska
I had the chance to see Michael perform in Germany in 1997, during the WDR Rocknacht at the Loreley.
It was a great concert, full of energy and I was very happy to be there.
I still love the music of INXS. Today I found out about Max Q and will listen to the album, when I get it. Michael's music will live forever!

Since the 22nd of November falls on Thanksgiving in the US this year, I will offer up a special prayer for Michael, and also a prayer for peace and comfort for all the members of the Hutchence family.
Hutch - It was 10 years ago that we finally met in NYC, and I have the picture I took while we were on stage, it's one of my treasured keepsakes. There is so much to say, but, simply, thanks for the music, and thanks for sharing yourself with the world.
I just want to say that Micheals voice was one of the best voices ever,I want to send my thoughts and prayers to his family,friends and fans around the world. I never had the honor of meeting him but he seemed so genuine and kind, I still listen to INXS and his solo album which is an amazing album. R.I.P. You are truly missed!
Nov 22nd is almost here. Already Im thinking of you and sending you love & light. I hope you, Kel & Paula are all smiling somewhere with each other in heaven. Give them hugs from everyone down here, would you? I'm sure you've seen the beautiful girl Tiger Lily has become. You all must be so proud..as you should be. It's incredible, 10 years since you left us! But nothing can make your beautiful image and talent fade away from me, ever. I never had the fortune of meeting you in the flesh, when you were close to coming to Mexico with E.W., you went to Heaven, and I missed that precious oportunity! It's OK, I said nothing can make me stop loving and admiring you. Your looks, your voice and all in you is so special and once in a lifetime that will never be forgotten but only sadly missed. I am so happy to read the tons of good comments, wishes, poems, etc., all inspired by you, precious boy! For me, your parents were blessed with an angel in the body of a human. I know you were like any other human while you lived here , with failures and mistakes, not perfect. But for me that is not important, that was your private life, it is such a pity the media could not respect that, and continues disrespecting that! I'm a 47 year old woman, and I remember that when I was very young things were not so nasty. But nothing of that can be changed now, and the only important thing is that I believe when we leave this life our spirit and soul continue on their journey to God, I hope you have reached His presence and feel his peace and content. My spirit and soul send you all my love and admiration, hope you will be able to feel them, wherever you are, sweet angel!

INXS was my favorite bands during high school and even later in the years to come. I grew up listening to hits like By My Side, Beautiful Girl, Suicide Blonde…I even had similar hairstyle to Michael Hutchence. My friends and me were devastated to hear that he had died back in 1997. We will miss him forever.
