As the 10th anniversary of his passing approaches, I've been sent into a tailspin, the memories of November 1997 fill my heart and mind. Michael's (and INXS) music was a great comfort to me during the early/mid 1980's. I believe most kids experience feelings of being lost between the ages of 10-18...no longer a kid and not quite ready to be an adult. Each day, I curled up on the sofa, put on my headphones and listened to every cassette I had...from Shabooh Shoobah to X. His voice, the music...melted all of the anguish away. Now, even though about to turn 36 myself, my reaction is the same. When I need to step away from the stress of my business, the demands of being Mom, and the monotony of daily life, it's his music that refreshes me.
My heart goes out to his family as the anniversary approaches.

Thank you for such a moving and obviously heartfelt tribute and insight into the life of a great artist, performer and from the most sincere accounts, man. He's another example of 'the good die young'. Growing up and now INXS is my all time favorite band and Michael is a huge part of that (I refused to watch the reality show for that reason much as I do respect the rest of the original band). Thank you for taking the time to put this together. It must have been painful. As a parent, I can understand the need and the distress involved.

Hutch is to me the greatest rockstar ever..i was 10 years old when i heard elegantly wasted and i was in love with this song.now, 10 years later i found out that INXS was so much more than i knew and michael hutchence,his voice,his personality..there are no words to describe him.there isn't a day in my life without hearing at least one of INXS's songs.R.I.P. my older bro bought me “Listen Like Thieves” cassette tape in I think 1984 or 85 for christmas. It was the best present I have received. (It brought me a life time of joy). I still have it and all of the rest. Thank you for those wonderful memories. We miss and love you.

No supe quien era el, hasta hace unos dias y con todo mi corazon lamento su partida en sus ojos contiemplo su tristeza, que me imagino quienes lo deben haber conocido lo lejano de su mirada. The world has been a far more monotone and silent place over the last 10 years. I miss Michael everytime I hear his voice - sad in the realisation there is no more but glad that he provided me with the soundtrack of my youth. For that he will always be a part of my being. Always loved x

The day after tomorrow will be one of the most important days of my life:I'm getting married!:) On this day, you'll be present within my heart, as always but you'll also be present through the music that has been a guiding light in my life for almost 10 years!! God, ten years since you left us...I wouldn't have imagined that almost 10 years after that I'd be getting married. I was 16 then and I think of you with the same intensity as i did then when you entered my heart!! God bless you..i love you!!!

Just wanted to express my appreciation for the music of Micheal and his band INXS. I have discovered it recently at 20 years old and cannot stop listening it is fantastic and inspring music from a wonderful talented man. I just regret ill never have the chance to meet him or see him in person. I still remember that day in 1997 but im sure he will be in our hearts for years to come. Best wishes to his daughter and family for the future.
