Happy 48th birthday, Michael!
I think of you often, and listen to your beautiful voice and music EVERYDAY. Your music has brought so much joy to my life for the past 20 years. It has even been instrumental in my husband and I getting together. My dream is to someday be able to go to Australia, visit your memorial site, and see the land where you and your bandmates call home. My thoughts are always with you, and today, especially with your friends, family, and bandmates. Thank you, Ian, for sharing that beautiful, spiritual story about Michael's birthday 10 years ago. Stories like that, and this wonderful website make us feel closer to Michael even though most of us never had the privilege to meet him. That was what was so special about Michael. He had a way of connecting with people, and making them feel special.

I suddenly came to realize this afternoon while on a phone call what the date was, and said a silent birthday with to myself for Michael. I never even knew this site was here, but i just found it tonight. I still have a hard time believing it's been as long as it has. Michael touched my life in ways I could never explain, I know his memory will live on forever, and I will always remember him and thank him the same every year for the amazing musician and inspiring person he was.

I know its been quite sometime but with a gentle reminder remembered its Michael's Birthday. I really dont know why but its only on these special days that it slips my mind. I have had some serious back problems lately but still Michael stays with me!

You were the greatest , it doesn't matter what anyone says.

today I was listening to a music i don't remember- maybe New Order- and my mother said “Isn't it just like seeing Michael dancing?”. Another say, a friend would catch my arm and say “doesn't that guy remembers Mike?” or “this clothe? only michael would fit it well” Facts like this are so usual to me, and it's interesting that people with who knows him so few are also linked to him. Michael is like this- and today I only have to thank GOd for his life, and thank Mike for all he was, and still meaning. And thank the family for raising such a precious boy.
