I've only been an INXS fan for 4 years now and its been a whirlwind of love and devotion for the band (devotion is the tattoo)

Michael is the last of the true rockstars, he graced the stage with greatness he was a brilliant musician and a awe inspiring human being

Hutch we lost you too soon, but your memory will live on as the light burns brightly for you.

since highschool the music of this group has been a large part of my life.Micheal Hutchence with Inxs ans his other solo projects was the embodiment of a true artist poet musician and frontman.
His tragic end has weighed heavy in my mind and has left me with thoughts of my own mortality.He will be surely missed.The music will never sound the same again.

Many times I have stood and gazed into the night sky. For the most part stars grace the sky while the occasional satellite passes by. On rare occasions a shooting star will light up the sky as it streaks past. Don't get me wrong, that wasn't you.

I saw Hale-Bopp back in the 90's and it moved me. I couldn't believe that something so inspiring could actually exist. It graced my skies for what seemed an eternity and I could gain faith in the fact that when I went outside it would always be there… until it was gone. But the loss was two fold; you left us about the same time.

I have never felt quite the same about the night sky… or my music.

on michaels birthday, another young soul left us - heath ledger - and i instantly felt as i did when michael died - and brandon lee - and nick drake - the parallels are brutal - these lives and deaths effect the lives and deaths of people that never met, worlds apart..... we are not so different and distant....at 37, i am lucky to still be alive and blessed to have “known”, been changed by the hearts and gifts of these men. in my heart, they will not be forgotten. i undersand, dear friend, i do.

I was a sophomore in college. My Dad called me as we talked every day. He told me about Michael's death. He was quite shaken.

My Dad would drive me every weekend hundreds of miles to wrestling tournaments. While driving in the early morning hours I would put on tapes of music to pass the time. I introduced him to INXS after Kick came out. Dad fell in love with the band's music. We'd listen for hours on our trips to tournaments.

Anyhow, Dad died just a few months later in March. When I thought of the day that he called and told me of Michael's death, all I could think of is “who am i going to call and tell about my Dad's death?”

I feel for everyone that has lost someone that is dear to them.

Michael was an immense talent and I'm not just saying that in retrospect. Time passes so quickly.
