Michael was once erroneously and irreverently referred to as a “has been” onstage by a fellow musician. Only if you consider Elvis, the Stones, and/or the Beatles as “has beens” could Michael be considered in that vein. Michael was blessed with a hautingly beautiful voice--so easily recognizable--a true gift from God. May he rest in peace.

Never a day goes by that I don't listen to or watch INXS, the music lyrics & Michaels voice have made me laugh, dance, cry & sing along so many times. Never have I known a more mesmerising, passionate & talented singer that can leave such a lasting impression. Gone too soon Michael & missed so much, thank you for the words & music that I love so much x

I've enjoyed INXS for many years but have recently began to pick up more & more CDs by this fine band. Michael was enormously talented.. an incredible voice that was stilled far too soon. I am proudly blessed to have his music and that of his INXS mates in my collection.

Hello. About a month ago, I created an INXS station on Pandora. I cannot tell you how great it has been to listen to all my old favorite songs. It has been so long because all of my INXS music is on cassette & vinyl. They were my first favorite band & I've been surprised at how after all these years I still know all the lyrics. I used to have a t-shirt from when they came to Philadelphia back in the late 80's; I wish now that I still had that shirt. Today, I suddenly felt very sad about the worldwide loss of Michael. Seems so strange that a voice of my youth has passed on. I realise my sadness is nothing compared to that of his friends & family, hence me finding this site to send my condolences. He is still missed, and the talent he put into INXS is still loved.
Michael will NEVER be forgotten. My very first concert was Inxs in 1987 in Columbia, Missouri, and I will never forget it. He had an unforgettable and unique voice. I will forever be a fan!

Throughout the darkest times of those years, the one constant has been your voice and your lyrics. One of the first places that I'll (re)visit in my new home is your memorial in Sydney. My new home! I heard your songs unexpectedly twice last week and I just knew that it was a sign that some good news was coming my way. Michael, wherever you are, I hope you know what you mean to me and how much we all love and miss you. Never ever forgotten x

When I was 14 ,long time ago,I discovered INX and the voice and charm of Michael.I will always remember that sensation.Nice web.
I was a young teen in LA when I first looked at his videos on mtv his style was pimp status him and his band where total studs talented. I still listen and watch there videos and when I do it takes me back to great times and memories of 80s growing up. RIP
