I have just read a book on Michael's life and feel like I know the family. I remember I was so sad when I heard he had died. I was in shock. He had such charisma and energy. The world lost a great talent and wonderful person.

It's been a few years now, but still at a loss for words. I never had the opportunity to thank Michael for all he gave to the world. I know I am not the only one, but I'd like to say that, Michael gave me more than just his voice, his words and his songs, he also gave me life. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be here today. Just wish he knew just how much more he gave to us all.

I just want to say, that this is the most beautiful site I've ever seen. I've been an INXS fan since 1988 or something. As everyone else - I miss Michael deeply. But, I believe that we fans can't really imagine what you - family and friends - are feeling.

In my opinion, there will never be a singer with Michael's voice again.

It's barely the new year here in Colorado, and of course, my thoughts go immediately to you, Michael. Another year without you, and yet another year to enjoy the beautiful music you left behind. I certainly wish you could have seen your beautiful Sydney for the new year ... it was gorgeous. We continue to miss you, and hope all is well wherever you are. Love you always.

I was just looking for a good picture of michael, when I found this webside.

These are the words of a man who wishes that he could have intervened in Michael's hour of need.

Bono like all of Michael's friends probably feels that he should have been able to help prevent the tragedy of November 97 from taking place.

With suicide we are all motivated by guilt and what if's. This song is a joyous celebration of life. We can get through the bad times...all things will pass. A tad simplistic perhaps but touching nevertheless.

My hope is that this song will be uplifting to those who sorely need an infusion of happiness and optimism.

I met Michael twice in two days in 1983. First was in the parking lot of The Somerset Inn in Troy, Michigan. Michael and the other members of INXS had been peeking out behind curtains at us (me and my friends) while we were attempting to fix my friends car. They came out and talked to us and we took pictures all together as I had by chance had my camera with me! (I still have the pictures and his autograph!)

The next day we saw them I said “You're going to make it BIG here” to which Michael replied with a smile on his face “Oh yeah?!” He seemed to be in dreamland after I said that! He was very calm and serene.

I would like to submit a lovely and heartwarming incident that happened to somebody who is not too familiar with the internet system. It touched my heart so deeply that with her permission I am submitting this message on her behalf;

Her name is Alanna Butler and this is her story:

MICHAEL'S LEGACY OF LOVE....

IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME AND I WANT TO SHARE A FIRST HAND TRUE EXPERIENCE (Resulting in my overwhelming admiration for Michael Hutchence)

Involved in various production services, I had taken along to a concert my neice Daniella who had recently lost her grandmother, backstage in the rumpus and chaos that was ensuing I was busy doing the 101 things assigned to me, Daniella was seated outside a portacabin. I didn't notice she was crying.

Next time I looked over Michael Hutchence was knelt down in front of her as she was sobbing her heart out..

I ran over I thought she had (done something).

As I approached he looked at me and smiled, then carried on speaking to Daniella.. He was saying the following words - mesmerised I almost remember the conversation word for word.

Michael was saying.. 'When you feel in pain don't be alone, It's no good sitting in a little dark corner, take a look up at the sky and can you see all the light and love shining down.. I know it shines down especially for all the little children in the world - can't you feel how warm that love is? I know you are hurting we have all had someone who left us unexpectedly.. Haven't we?

At this point she was still sobbing, he took her tiny hand as she looked up her eyes sparkled.. He continued

'We all have to go on, it's no good being stuck here in this little corner is it? Let all that naughty pain just roll away and off - out of the arena... Come on kid let it go'

Continuing he said 'Did you do the best for nanna then? Daniella sighed a feeble 'Yes' Michael replied 'Well then.. See that rainbow over there.. That took nanna safely to heaven.. So I think we should all be happy for her shouldn't we.. Wasn't she lucky to have such a kind grand-daughter as you - don't you think?'

With that Daniella gave Michael a big hug and skipped away.. Oblivious to her previous pain..

He stood up.. I said 'I don't know how to thank you'

He smiled and said.. 'Look how happy she is now.. that's all the thanks I need' and he gripped my hand then walked back to his trailer.

I stood there overwhelmed. I knew from that point why he was, who he was, my thoughts changed about life and death in that instant. Daniella's heart lifted and instead of the pain she had been lost in.. She instead would point to the sky and say 'Look that how nanna got heaven'...

I hope this sharing gives an insight to the real man behind the myth, and his power to touch many lives in the most innocent way.

By the way Michael changed a little girls heart from death and foreboding into joy and optimism, that outlook still remains with her and has changed her whole outlook on life.....

I always knew Michael was special as you could see his compasson and depth through those soulful eyes and this story just confirms why Michael will forever hold such a special place within my heart where no one else can go.

I WAS 11 OR 12 WHEN I BROUGHT MY FIRST INXS ALBUM. IT WAS KICK AND I HAVE BEEN A FAN SINCE I WAS A BABY AS MY AUNTY ( WHO ALSO COMMITTED SUICIDE) WAS A FAN. EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T KNOW MICHAEL, THE PAIN I FELT WHEN HE DIED WAS AS IF I HAD LOST MY OWN. MAYBE IT WAS BECAUSE IT WAS ANOTHER MEMORY OF MY AUNTIE DYING WITH HIM.

I HOPE MICHAEL'S FAMILY AND SWEET LITTLE TIGER LILY'S PAIN EASES WITH TIME (BUT I DOUBT IT EVER DOES) AND THEY CAN REMEMBER HIM THEY WAY ONLY THEY KNEW HIM AS A SON, A BROTHER AND A FATHER! GOD BLESS YOU MICHAEL
