First of all, I apologise for any misword or misunderstanding that might come out with this statement, since, I am not a native english speaker. It's been almost 5 years since we lost Michael. And what can I say? I would like to have enough vocabulary to tell you all what I've felt, but I am glad I have you to put in words what I have never been able to. Michael, so far and so close. How could it be? Mr. Kelland, it's a great pleasure to be able to see the wonderful work you've been doing here. This is my first visit to your site, and it happened by coincidence. I've been thinking deeply about Michael for the past two weeks - I don't know exactly why - and it's been so intense that I decided to buy (again!) the Elegantly Wasted album, from which I can't stop listening to the songs “I'm just a man” and “Everything”, and because I wanted to see the lyrics - which I have not found yet - I ended up in this page and again, like 4 years ago, I felt my heart touched.

I met you many times and was trasfixed by your beauty, but more by your talent. You were a special man, and I have my memories and my photos to remind me of how special you were and how close we got. Hello, I went to see INXS play at the AVALON in Boston Ma on June 26th, 2002. I wasn't sure how I would react to seeing them without Micheal for the first time since his death. I never really got over his death. It took me several years to actually listen to the music without crying. Well, the first few songs were fine, Jon Stevens does a great job singing. But then he sang “Not Enough Time” which is one of my favorite songs, because you can hear Micheal's beautiful deep voice so clearly...I broke into tears, and I couldn't stop crying through the whole song, not even counting the tribute portion they did for “Never tear us apart!”. I love you Micheal, I always will. I miss you terribly, and will never forget you. God Bless you, your family and friends!
It's hard to believe the sunshine of Michael's life will be turning six years old ! Not the baby he knew, but from pictures I've seen in magazines, a very beautiful , talented little girl , who is just like him! I've been an INXS fan since I was 13 years old and I was lucky enough to meet the band in Toronto and Montreal in 1993. I cried my eyes out when I heard the tragic news about my “close friend”. I am still very moved every time I hear INXS. Now at 28 I am reading the book his mother and sister wrote and I realise how Micheal is still a part of me, how he influenced me. I deeply miss him and I keep trying to concentrate on what his firends and relatives say that he will be with us forever. In a way you are Micheal, but in another way your absence is so obvious. Thank you for inspiring me to become who I have become.

I grew up with Michael's music, all my time in high school and even part of the university. I felt down many times and many other times I got the necesary courage to continue living and to move on. When I heard the next day he died it was like if one part of my life had died or a member of my family. I grieved, and I still do sometimes.
I can't believe how time seems to pass so quickly, I still miss Michael so I can only imagine how painful it must still be to his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please take care. Lots of love XXX

I recently saw the remaining members of INXS perform during their tour in the U.S. It was my first time seeing them without Michael. Very bittersweet. The tribute was beautifully done and was very moving. The band invited some children to come on the stage and play and sing with them and I must admit I thought Michael would have loved that and it made me feel his spirit was there.
