Remarkable talent and apparent work ethic. Michael and his music defines my teenage years and early adult years. Hearing his voice instantly takes me back to great memories and events in my life. While I did not understand his reasons for leaving too early at the time, life has a way of teaching us that even when all appears wonderful for someone from the periphery, it’s much more complicated in ourselves. I empathize with Michale and yet rejoice in the mark made on the world around him with his talent and spirit. Michael’s talent, lyrics, and appeal is undeniable and my mood always brightens listening to his art. My condolences to all of his family and friends, so many years later.

Micheal was the voice that got me through my awful adolescence and teens– some of my worst years. When I heard he'd died, I thought it ironic and sad that he'd gotten me through those times and was now gone. RIP and thank you.

Michael was taken from the world far too soon. I am thankful to have lived during the time that INXS was huge in the states. Unfortunately I was able to see the preform live , they will still be one of my all time favorite bands and I still listen to their music daily!

Much Love, Lance S.

There still is no one who fronts a band the way he did! I was lucky to see INXS on tour in the mid 80s. His style was so unique and sexy. I am currently reading a book on him and reading of drug use is making me so sad. I wish someone could have helped him. Were his best friends unaware of his drug use? We lost a true talent. There will never be anyone like him. EVER.

Still missing the incredible talent that escaped us too early. The One Thing is still one of my absolute favorite songs that I always play at very excessive decibel levels.

I was listening to his songs again, I remember when I was a child I listened to "New Sensation", but I did not understand what he was saying I just thought it was a very happy song, and I did not know the name of the song or the band, until a few years ago I listened to it again and searched the internet, I loved the lyrics, it's really good, I like to listen to it because of the great message it has and it makes me feel much better when I feel that the sky is gray. I kept listening to other songs of the band, and the truth is that I loved the freshness and style of Michael, seriously, I love listening to his songs, and see it on the screen. Thank you for brightening our hearts with your songs

Michael marked my musical evolution, INXS were a milestone in my growth as Music lover before my twenties, his voice and their music accompanied me along the whole 90s.
LIVE BABY LIVE in Wembley was my first ever Live in VHS, my first live ever even if not really "live"... and yet that show has been a badass kicking experience for me. I watched that videotape so many times and so many times I sang along him like I wished I could one day. I wanted to be him and when he was with Helena Christiensen, for me the most beautiful woman on earth then and still today, I thought they were living the Dream Life I wished i could live myself.
I dunno why he did what he did, why he has been a man of his words "sliding away" just like he sang in his solo. His solo album was a sorta token to his fans, the token of his own legacy. A musically and lyrically pearl.
I put Michael together with Freddy Mercury, Jeff Buckley, Layne Staley and Chriss Cornell in the top Five all my favorite voices in my very own personal Music History Book. I had no chance to attend their Live concerts and that's something that tears me apart. I find myself listening to Michael solo album so many times still today, just like I do with all of them. Only Jeff, my Dream Brother Jeff Buckley remains the only voice I cannot listen singing anymore, because losing him was like losing a brother indeed. Losing Michael has been a whole different story, losing him I've lost myself, I lost the figure I felt like my alter ego, the SuperStar I wished I cluld have been. I thought he had everything, every single thing a man would want and take from life.
His death teached me the hardest of all lessons I've ever learned in these 45 years of my lifetime... the lesson was that despite whatever we achieve in life, whatever we make ourselves into, wherever we push ourselves nothing is granted, nothing is what we really got. Losing Michel has been not losing an idol, has not been losing a member of the family and nothing else like that... losing Michael has been like losing Hope.
What he left were memories, that's what remains, that's what won't never ever slide away!
I wish i could post here three pictures dedicated to you but I can't so all I can do and I do want to do is to still a few more words to remember you in three moments of your life and those three moments are all about Music and nothing else:

LIVE BABY LIVE ~ Best INXS' Live Concert and Michael's Performance
FULL MOONS, DIRTY HEARTS ~ Best INXS Mature {I'd say Adult} Album
MICHAEL HUTCHANCE ~ Best Michael Solo Performance and Album

These are the 3 ways I want to think of when I want to remember you and share you with others, because your heritage must be always shared, diffused and promoted to all those generations who are missing with us all you could have done if death didn't cross your way.

Sing In Peace, Michael... sing alongside your fellow voices who made my life better. I will always miss you.

Your fan till the end of times,
D.

It’s really beautiful to read these guestbook messages and realize just how many people’s lives you’ve touched with your unforgettable voice, gentle spirit, and sweet smile. Remembering you on this birthday 🎂. I know you don’t age in heaven so you’re looking as sexy as ever, but here on earth you’d be 59 today. Happy birthday, dearest Michael. You are “The Loved One” never to be forgotten. “Shine Like It Does,” my eternal “Shining Star” ⭐️

Happy Birthday in heaven Michael.
You would think after all these years that the stars would twinkle once more, or there would be magic in the breeze on a warm summers night, but there doesn't seem to be. You must have taken it all with you.
At least there is still magic in the memory of you.
Thank you for that.
You're always cherished and never forgotten.
Peace and love.
Terri 🙂

Happy Birthday Michael;

As I sat at my desk today, I suddenly had an urge to hear your music. One click of the mouse led to another and as fate would have it, today is your birthday. I wanted to send you much love and tell you how much I miss you and your music.

Happy Birthday Michael!
Just a little note to tell you how much you’re missed! Your music has gotten me through the very difficult times in my life! The last 12 years, especially have been the toughest to get through with the loss of my Mom. I have a playlist of your music and listen to it often! And singing along, and oh sorry for my singing! When I’m feeling down I also watch your music videos! Your natural charisma and talent turns my darkness into light and makes me smile again! You are remarkably the best! And should be in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame! You can never be replaced! I give you the title of Mr. INXS! No one can ever take that away from you! Thinking of Tiger Lily and your family, band mates & friends. They are all in my thoughts and prayers! Keep shining and rockin’, you’re a gorgeous Angel! Forever my Angel! I’m sending you tons of huge hugs and kisses from me to you! Thank you for your music!
