I listen to your music every day, your voice has something not human. It's true. Maybe you were such an elevated spirit to stay with for a long time, I hope you are free now. But we'll miss you for ever and ever and ever.

reply to Kelly re: no flowers
You must have arrived early at Michael's stone. Let it be known as in the past, people mostly visit after 11am. Susie and Rhett did deliver beautiful flowers...I saw them! as did many others including myself. Don't worry Michael is never forgotten!!
Saturday 22nd January 2005. Earlier that afternoon, the weather was threatening to storm with grey clouds, wind and light showers so we decided not to go to Milk Beach on this occasion (as advertised). However, a few of us still managed to go to Michael's Memorial stone at The Northern Suburbs Crematorium, Delhi Road, North Ryde. We arrived with our flowers, candles and incense to decorate Michael's stone. Stunning flowers, cards and colour already adorned Michael's memorial. Also, a sweet lady left a lovely bunch of red roses laid with a note earlier that afternoon. Her name “Yuki” whom travelled all the way from Japan to stay for 3 days, but especially to share Michael's birthday celebrations. A gorgeous arrangement from Susie and Dad and Rhett. Other anonymous bunches of flowers and trinkets all of which filled the ground space in front of the stone and sculpture of Michael. Always a beautiful sight!
Those of you who have not visited the Memorial Gardens for a few months may feel slightly disorientated or get a bit of a shock next time you visit. If you remember, there was a colossal Morton Bay Fig tree centering the area to the left of Michael's stone. Kell used to say: “what an amazing tree” due to its size. Well a couple of months ago, much to my surprise, I arrived at the gardens feeling a bit disorientated as that gigantic old fig tree has been removed, thus creating a lot more light as it's branches used to extend like a huge umbrella over so many memorial stones. I would never have thought that something that appeared so permanent would ever be removed, which tells us “nothing is forever and even the biggest and the strongest tree may be uprooted at any time”. I'_m sure there was a very good legitimate reason for its removal, but it is a shame, as it was a landmark at the gardens providing shelter long before our time! Se la vie!
God Bless all with Love & Peace

What a great, iconic singer and performer in an absolutely fantastic band. Warm memories and peaceful thoughts.
Thanks for all the great songs and sexy vocals. I first saw INXS with Cheap Trick, & Ozzy in Alpine Valley WI back in 1989. You guys were great and Michael Hutchence and Robin Zander were totally inspiring. You are trully a part of my voice.

Michael was a great lead man and changed the way i looked at rock n roll in a good way. I am trying out tommorrow for ROCK STAR INXS and if i make it or not i hope the right man for INXS is picked. But know one will be able to take his place. I was on the road to atlanta when i heard the news in 97 and my heart dropped Michael was a good man.
(In Spanish) Serian miles de cosas que quisiera decir por Huch, pero ya se dijo todo y mas, simplemente nadie como el,pero absolutamente nadie como el....nunca te olvidare Michael.
Michael planted notes in our head like seeds in the earth, still there, still growing.
We must nurture and develop our talents to share with the world as he did and still does.
God bless.
Robin

I was on this site last night, getting ready to write you a message when my son started crying in his sleep. Happy Birthday (one day late). I was also searching for my INXS/Adam Ant poster in the basement from 1984?? but I haven't found it yet. I listened to your music at a very happy time in my life, my young teen years. I am happy to say that the happiness is coming back to me again. I wish you were here to still sing to everyone. God Bless You always.
