It took me a long time to come to terms with what happend. To be able to listen to michael's beautiful voice without feeling weepy. I still feel sad. Such a talent gone from us. They say 'the good die young', but I think it's crappy for the rest of us, who miss the REAL music. I won't be able to go to an inxs show, and hear the music, familiar beautiful songs not sang by the man who co-wrote most of them. I miss you michael 🙁 I feel sad I never got to meet you in person, I have such appreciation and love for the music you created. I cried when I found out you died. I have the greatest hits on rotation always. It's not uncommon to hear me singing along. Your voice is and will always be one of the best I've ever heard. If you could click on my myspace page, you'd see 'never tear us apart' playing on video. 🙂 Love to you always, and thank you again, for all you did to bring beautiful music to the world.

Just listening to Baby Don't Cry...one of my favourites. Will always miss you, one of the greatest rock stars who ever lived. P.S. Don't try to replace him...

It is with great respect and honor to be able to sign this guest book. I have long been an INXS fan. My husband is also a huge fan. So it simple to say that we were devestated over the death of Michae. There seems to be such a void in the music world today without his charm and presence on stage. We both had the extreme fortune to have attended two of INXS's last concerts the fall of 1997. We attended the Sept concert that year at the BEACON THEATER in NY. The concert was absolutely breath taking. Michael's presence on stage was outstanding. I can rememeger him like it was yesterday. It was the ELEGANTLY WASTED TOUR. The band was promoting the Elegantly Wasted Cd which of course was outstanding. I remember Michael coming out on stage in his black suit and red shirt and sunglasses. What a huge presence he was. Michael and the band brought the house down. He sang for what seemed like an eternity and no one wanted it to end. but sadly as all concert must it came to a close. But I will never forget that night at the Beacon Theater. But our pleasure did not end there. My oldest daughter is also an INXS fan but could not get to go that night. So we did the next best thing. We purchased tickets for their final performance of their tour in the Coca Cola theater in Pennsylvania. We drove all day to get there the day of the concert. I was so exciting to be seeing Michael with INXS again two weeks later after out experience at the Beacon Theater in NY.It was an outdoor theater and the night was clear and cool. Michael appeared on stage after the band memebers had taken their places. Michael rocked and sang for what seemed like an eternity. I didn't care. Michael could sign all night long. It was magical. I guess since this was the last concert date for the American tour Michael and the band didn't care how long they performed. Did Michael have a premontion that he would never be back. I don't know but the night was the best concert ever. I will never forget those two concerts. My daughter was able to purchase the soundtrack from that concert. I don't know where she got it but my husband and I play that cd and all the INXS cds all the time. I know that time heals all things but when we play INXS and hear Michael we know that no one will take his place. We know and respect that INXS needs to move on and make music again but there choice of a singer appears to be someone who is trying to be Michael and that will never happen. We will always have Michael in our hearts and his songs and music will always be playing somewhere in our lives.

We love and miss you MICHAEL

I hope you have found peace.

INXS is one of the top bands from my 80's era. Granted they were not metal, they werent't quite dance, they were their own identity. If you heard an INXS song on the radio you knew right away it was INXS. A large part of that identity was Michael. His vocals were smooth as butter and he was just a natural for this band. Live he was simply amazing! I cried the day I heard he passed on and still don't understand why we lost such a loved and dearly talented man. He will never be forgotten,

I was a teenager when INXS hit the charts, and my strongest memory is of Michaels face on the video clip of “Need you tonight”. He took my breath away.
His voice will sing forever on disc, and in our hearts...

I rembember working for an airline american eagle 18 seats max and the passengers had to board from the outside, What a surprise I had when I was told inxs chartered one of our plaens, how nervous I was a ramp agent at the time greeting the passengers and loading the nose of the aircraft with carryon bags, and then wow here is the band ,I mean the whole band and were they nice or what! very very nice and it was a cold day and I had a pink scarf on covering my head and was told “how cute I looked” I was just in awe and more so on how very very nice the whole band was, Ive carried this great memorie for the past 15 years and just needed to let anyone out there know that I treasure that meeting daily, and may michael be blessed by all.

love

The band will be a little odd without him. May Michael's soul lead the band to further greatness!

INXS was with me throught my teenage years and there are so many of songs that remind me of great times.

Michael's onstage presence, finesse and creativity will leave the world a little emptier.

May the new INXS shine as brighter light.

Michael is a symbol of my youth. Today, even as a stay at home mom, I popped in “The Best Of INXS”, and my 3 year old and I danced to the timeless music. It brought me back to the time I first saw INXS in concert in Sacramento CA. Michael's presence was very powerful, he is missed, but his memory will live on in the generations to come.

Thanks for all the great memories! Being a teenager and growing up listening to your music always seemed to be able to lift up my spirits and make every day a bit more bearable! I will always cherish my autographed poster that I won from “Good Rockin' Tonight” signed by you and Andrew! God bless!

I just wanna say that Michael will be always remembered because he was an excelent singer and a nice person.
Michael Hutchence can't be replaced by anyone, nobody has that voice and that energy he had on stage.
I'm writing this, because even i'm not an Inxs fan yet, and i was very little when Michael died, I know what he was, and what he is to all of us, and people of the entire world thinks the same as me.
Well, the last thing i can say is, rest in peace Michael, I miss you, we miss you, and we love you!

I wanted to say that Michael will be sadly missed. No one will ever replace his talent or spirit. I had the pleasure to see him many years ago when I was a teenager and I am glad to sad that it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen.
Thanks Michael for all that you gave to us.

Love Diane

I first saw Michael with INXS at Wembley Stadium July 13 1991 - Summer XS. It was the most amazing concert, the atmosphere was electric and i still get goose bumps when i watch the DVD and hear the crowd cheer. Thank you Micheal for making it so memorable, one of the best days of my life. I just can't believe it was 14 years ago!

Your music lives on in my house and Never Tear Us Apart will be the first dance at my wedding next year.

You are missed!

It does not surprise me that years after your death you are still gathering the strong around you and raisng the weak from their knees.

Imagine what you would have accomplished had you not thought so little of your own worth.

I know you are warm and at peace, because that is what you sought. I know we are uncomfortably cold knowing you are no more.

Hum this song with me, one more time ....

Every time I play an INXS song puts me in an upbeat mood. The songs themselves are timeless memorials to his performances.

I just wanted to say that I have found a new love of the INXS music and of Michaels spirit. After watching Rock Star:Inxs with me, my 13 yr old daughter has chosen the music of Michael and Inxs for her music project.
He lives on in the music he sang for a whole new generation of fans.
