TO DAN B.

IN ALL THE THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN WRITTEN ABOUT MICHAEL, THAT TRULY SAYS IT ALL. IT MADE THE HAIR ON THE BACK OF MY NECK STAND ON END.

WELL VERSED DUDE, TOTALLY AWSOME
Dan B., 17.11.2005

And then to see them in 1993 back in the Aragon Ball Room for their “Pub Tour” Michael was the best!

He was incredible. His energy was amazing and lives forever due to his love of what he did!
Dan B., 17.11.2005
Chicago
I was at their concert at Summerfest in 1987, but it got rained out.
I saw them 6 months later that the Aragonne Ballroom in Chicago, a small venue where Michael lit up the entire place with an energy that I have never seen since. He sat 20' above the stage on top of the amps and sang “what you need” then he jumped down and ran all over the stage. This was in 1987 after I had been listening to them for over 5 years and he filled that small venue with an unbelieveable aura. My wife and I have been going to concerts for over 20 years and this is my favorite!
Here is a great piece written about him and the band at that time that says it all:
Long before Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and Scott Stapp of Creed began setting women's hearts a flutter across the globe, there was another brooding young singer with smoldering good looks and a sexual rawness that until that point had not been seen on a concert stage since Jim Morrison fronted the Doors a dozen years before.

This god-like frontman who seemed to embody the energy of the atom and the charisma of a modern day Valentino, was an Aussie lad named Michael Hutchence and his band from down under was INXS.

God Bless you Michael. You will always be remembered!!!

Michael was a beautiful man. Great singer and entertainer. He has been greatly missed. I wish the new band great success. I know that Michael will be with them in memory always. Thanks for all the great songs and memories you have given me through the years. Luv ya

I know that everything happens has a sort of sense, but it seems to me so meaningless ... I'd like someone could tell me the real why. I can't do it by myself, it's so difficult to accept.
But you are around, this is the most important thing. Like Andrew Farris once said, nothing really ends, nothing really dies. You are alive as you've always been, we are here and you are near us, not far; what we got to do is only hearing, is feeling, is listening to your magic.
Live, Michael, live.

Michael was a beautiful performer. I have listened to INXS's music for over twenty years. The loss of Michael for me was immense. I had the pleasure of meeting him and photographing him perform (when working for a small time magazine). One photograph captured him smiling into my camera lens. That image and the warmth of his smile remains with me today. Still miss you Michael. Rest in peace.

My mum introduced me to Inxs music and I am hooked, I am only 12 and I feel as if I've known the band for years. Michael has such an amazing voice and I hope his music will live forever
My all time favourite tracks are Need You Tonight and Tear Us Apart as I will never be torn from this music.
Thank you to Michael and the rest of the band, pure genius.

I will not forsake the colours that you bring
But the nights you filled with fireworks
They left you with nothing
I am still enchanted by the light you brought to me
I still listen through your ears
And through your eyes I can see

Rest peaceful.
