Even thirteen years later your music, the music you wrote with INXS is still relevant. You still have fans around the world who love you and your gorgeous voice only reminds them what goodness you brought into the world. I think it was Emerson that said the sign of a well lived life is one who has left beauty behind. You certainly have done that.
Your song provide inspiration for me each and every day. Even in my saddest moments I have found that your music provides a sense of calm in my life. It always has.

Michael Hutchence was the BEST that happened to the world of music. I have been an RJ and there has never been a show where I have not played his songs. His voice, his groove - everything about him set the stage on fire. Its a tragedy that we have lost such an Artist. Miss you Michael. God Bless.

37 years old i have been in love with this band since i was in the 5th grade. i remember michael was the first crush i ever had! i was very shy and had been moved from home to home but all the music gave me a sence of belonging and it gave me an outlet to express myself! i remember when i heard of michaels death because i had just given birth that day to my first son i was so upset i couldnt stop crying it was like i lost a piece of my childhood! i think of him often what a giant loss to music

Thirteen years ago a really kind, humble, gracious, cool “Rock Star” from Australia left this earth. I'll never forget our meeting, (even with regrets for what I didn't say), his words, his songs, his smile, his voice, his cool...Rest peacefully Michael Hutchence. You are very missed by so many. You are an angel. 🙂
I remember that morning, 13 years ago, reading a small memorial in the bottom corner of the cover of the local paper's entertainment section. Reading it, I was rather mad that the writer of the memorial went as far as calling the four megahits from Kick as catchy but forgettable songs. This left as bad a taste in my mouth as Michael's passing left a hole in my soul. Even though I've been a Southern Ontario boy my whole life and did not get a chance to see INXS on the Elegantly Wasted tour, I cannot remember a time when Michael and the gang's music hasn't held a strong hold on me. The hole is gone, it is filled with the good memories that his music has blessed my life with. To this very day, I am inspired to create a world with the kind of verve, swagger, empathy and sexiness that Michael displayed every time the cameras rolled, or the mics were turned. For a man I never met, I still am moved by the view of life Michael expressed every time I pressed play.
It's been 13 years & as I celebrate my birthday today I'm reminded of how much I miss ur voice and ur smile. Slip ur hand in mine and we'll take the journey to forever together. You'll always live in me and my heart. Love you Michael.

Words still fail me at times. It may be my own selfishness in loss, but I still get angry with the way in which Hutch left us, but ultimately, it just fills my soul with sorrow, but the voice and the music he created keeps me swimming in joy!

I can't believe it's been so long since we lost someone as great as Michael. Your lyrics and songs live on. From the first time I heard Never Tear Us Apart, I was a fan, and went out and bought all the earlier releases. I was honoured to have seen the band live in Toronto for the “X” tour. The show was amazing, Michael gave all he had to entertain the crowd. I cried with the world when Michael passed away, and realized we had lost someone so special. May you always rest in peace and stay young Michael!! Love you always! xo
