Gone but NEVER forgotten
Gone but NEVER forgotten
Thanks to Google Play I get to reminisce.... what a talent!! Next year will be 20 years since you left us so tragically but you'll never be forgotten ...
Dearest Michael, I have only just recently discovered your great talent. Why has it taken me this long? I am almost 19 years old and in college. My father put on the INXS TV movie a few weeks ago and told me about "Never Tear Us Apart," a song he told me him and my mother liked when it came out. "Kick" was released the year my parents met. My mother just passed away recently and I listened to that album and fell in love with it. It reminds me of my parents. My dad told me he owned an LP copy of "Kick." Today, I went to a local record store and purchased "Kick" and "Listen Like Thieves" on cassette tape. The truck I drive only plays these, so I am very excited to listen to them on my way to school and work. Thank you for your contributions to the music world, Michael. You truly had a remarkable gift. You left work that can be enjoyed by generations to come, including my own. You will never be forgotten.
I've just finished watching INXS Never Tear Us Apart and can't stop crying. The world misses Michaels genius and we miss his charm every single day x
Well, we're do you start - a Lad that had it all - except 'Happiness.'
I first (1st) heard HUTCH when I was in year twelve (12) secondary school - the song was 'Good Times' with Barnesy and from that moment I was totally hooked.
Then my research on HUTCH and INXS begun - then my CD player took a constant hammering with what was to come next 'KICK' by this time my family took a hammering also - not just one (1) song - but the full album was a massive hit for me totally - even the title song 'KICK' was a awesome song - and usually the album song sux - but 'NOT' this one (1) it rocked the and I loved every stereo radio station - even the AM Stereo radio stations were playing it in Stereo.
The a few months later - I herd a singer that sounded my like 'HUTCH' Max Q and this song was just as impressive as KICK.
And bang 'INXS' release a LIVE CD and all I want for Xmas was that CD, then my family I think we're going to ask me to move out lol.
Now, at a 'Night Club' the DJ plays a 12' single on 'New Sensation' hell INXS what the hell - my INXS love of their music and next was merchandise and dress code and I even grow my hair like HUTCH's funny thing was I suited it.
Oh, well then the unthinkable happens - as a fan of the band and I really feel the pain when it comes to children and it is hard - but your no good to your children if your in heaven - but depression does hit people in mysterious ways - and may HUTCH rest for eternally with the Angels in heaven - and now I hear wonderful things with his young Lass Tiger-Lilly and hope she is happy were ever she is.
Thanks for the Memories HUTCH and INXS ...,

Thank you for creating this site. We were up incredibly late last night watching video after video of INXS. A band that both of us loved and listened to often in our youth. We just could not get enough. What a great band, great time and great stage presence. Michael had an incredible spirit. After finding this page this morning I can see how much he was loved as a person by his family and close friends. Its really nice to read the memories.

So missing his beautiful voice!
I'm so glad I had the chance to see INXS in concert back in the 80's. I even had second row the second time I saw them (back in the days when you could just get lucky and get great seats if you called in fast enough). Michael had the most beautiful voice. His presence on stage was mesmerizing. I will miss him forever.
Michael..
The first music video I ever saw was Need You Tonight/Mediate - I was maybe 10 or 11 years old. I wasn't allowed to watch MTV as a kid so of course I felt such a thrill when I saw you and heard you. I couldn't wait to see it again or just hear it again. Honestly, it was my first taste of addiction and my first memory of being attracted to a person in that way..."oh, this is what sex is all about." Life moved on and I will admit, I forgot about INXS for a long time. Recently, I watched Donnie Darko and was reminded of how much I loved your music. That lead to watching the Never Tear Us Apart video and I realized it was shot in Prague - oddly, I was going there on vacation the following day. I fell in love with that city and you were part of that. It's dark and magical and mystical and romantic - all things you probably are, I think. Ever since I got back, I can't stop listening to your music. I'm devoting two weeks to each album. I want to know the music deeply in my soul. I just wanted you to know that you have a new fan in me and your voice lives on through all the people that knew you and all the people who are just discovering (or re-discovering) you for themselves today. You are an amazing gift. I'm so excited to get to know you more. Love & Peace, jessica
PS. I hope wherever you are, you can hear music. Have you heard the Arcade Fire x INXS mix of Reflektor/Need You Tonight? I feel like you would love it. ♥

I miss you Michael Hutchence
Michael Hutchence's music has inspired me to pursue my own musical path. Grateful for all the music and memories.
I was privileged enough to be able to say that the music that was instilled upon a generation from INXS, was immeasurable. The lyrics from these songs will always make up the threads of my "life's greatest hits"! They intertwine memories and places in my life that will not be forgotten through these inspired albums! Rest easy, Michael & Peace to your family/friends that miss you here on Earth oxox
Well, maybe I am not part of the generation that grew up with your music, but I loved it from the first time I heard your songs.
You'll never be forgotten!
