Have been a great fan of INXS and Michael Hutchence since my high school and college days, during the 1980's and since. Michael was such a lovely and talented man. The world has indeed lost a gem, when it lost him. ❤
I still listen and dance to his lovely skips n runs while matching the band completely. It's been a lot of years of appreciation.
I was 16 when we lost Michael. I remember the news and not understanding what it meant. I was a kid. Last night we had friends from Brisbane staying with us, wanting to have a fun night they suggested we listen to INXS. Song after song played, with each song we all yelled and danced. After some time we started talking about Michael - his success, his death but more importantly how he and INXS changed music in Australia. Since last night I haven't been able to stop thinking about Michael. As his parents, his siblings, his friends - you should all be immensely proud of the man that was. He was inspirational. He did what many people cant. He followed his dreams, and won. He will forever to known as a music legend. I have thought about his death a lot today. I don't believe the rumours and suggestions surrounding his death. Why the media would want to plant such ridiculous stories baffles me. He was an amazingly talented man who was struggling with depression. Unfortunately the depression won that day but what could never be taken was his spirit and that lives on within each and every family member and friend forever.
Michael is one of my idols. Your song inspire me to live day by day. Thanks for everything, you lives forever!
Just enjoying his voice today and music. Thank you Michael it is still all current now.

Greats tunes / great tragedy
What a beautiful person, in a not so beautiful world. Thank you for all you brought to it, I look forward to meeting you on the other side.
Dear Michael, loving memories forever♡Evey day, every life...
What a great legend. Gone way to soon. I have loved INXS for many years. I still watch their videos and interviews often. You will never die in our hearts. You are truly missed.
That day in 1997, I was watching MTV and I remember when Kurt Loder I believe said that a body had been found and that it might be Michael, my heart sank but I kept saying maybe it's not him. Later that day confirmation came and I cried like I'd lost a brother. As a fan, I felt for his family the pain of losing your loved one is unimaginable. I couldn't believe that this man, that brought so much joy to so many for such a long time was gone.
Every time I hear U2's Stuck in a Moment I cannot help thinking had that conversation taken place would Michael still be with us.
The music Michael made has endured and are part of his legacy as is his daughter Tiger.
To his family and friends, thank you for this memorial

I have many great childhood memories of seeing Michael's performances and listening to the music of INXS.
Even today, the music stands on its own - there is not another sound like it.
He was an amazing talent; taken far too soon. Rest in peace, Michael.

Gone but NEVER forgotten
Gone but NEVER forgotten
Thanks to Google Play I get to reminisce.... what a talent!! Next year will be 20 years since you left us so tragically but you'll never be forgotten ...
Dearest Michael, I have only just recently discovered your great talent. Why has it taken me this long? I am almost 19 years old and in college. My father put on the INXS TV movie a few weeks ago and told me about "Never Tear Us Apart," a song he told me him and my mother liked when it came out. "Kick" was released the year my parents met. My mother just passed away recently and I listened to that album and fell in love with it. It reminds me of my parents. My dad told me he owned an LP copy of "Kick." Today, I went to a local record store and purchased "Kick" and "Listen Like Thieves" on cassette tape. The truck I drive only plays these, so I am very excited to listen to them on my way to school and work. Thank you for your contributions to the music world, Michael. You truly had a remarkable gift. You left work that can be enjoyed by generations to come, including my own. You will never be forgotten.
I've just finished watching INXS Never Tear Us Apart and can't stop crying. The world misses Michaels genius and we miss his charm every single day x
Well, we're do you start - a Lad that had it all - except 'Happiness.'
I first (1st) heard HUTCH when I was in year twelve (12) secondary school - the song was 'Good Times' with Barnesy and from that moment I was totally hooked.
Then my research on HUTCH and INXS begun - then my CD player took a constant hammering with what was to come next 'KICK' by this time my family took a hammering also - not just one (1) song - but the full album was a massive hit for me totally - even the title song 'KICK' was a awesome song - and usually the album song sux - but 'NOT' this one (1) it rocked the and I loved every stereo radio station - even the AM Stereo radio stations were playing it in Stereo.
The a few months later - I herd a singer that sounded my like 'HUTCH' Max Q and this song was just as impressive as KICK.
And bang 'INXS' release a LIVE CD and all I want for Xmas was that CD, then my family I think we're going to ask me to move out lol.
Now, at a 'Night Club' the DJ plays a 12' single on 'New Sensation' hell INXS what the hell - my INXS love of their music and next was merchandise and dress code and I even grow my hair like HUTCH's funny thing was I suited it.
Oh, well then the unthinkable happens - as a fan of the band and I really feel the pain when it comes to children and it is hard - but your no good to your children if your in heaven - but depression does hit people in mysterious ways - and may HUTCH rest for eternally with the Angels in heaven - and now I hear wonderful things with his young Lass Tiger-Lilly and hope she is happy were ever she is.
Thanks for the Memories HUTCH and INXS ...,
