I havn't posted here in quiet some time but was sadened to see the post of someone named Chrissie. I have never thought of Michael as a God and don't think others have either. However, he was a loving, caring man that we love dearly and want to express and share our feelings.(This is a tribute site for Michael.) I still miss Michael very much and think of him every day. It's hard to beleive this will be 4 Christmas' without him.......impossible! It's as though he's still in my life everyday. It's usually in a good way until about 2:00 a.m. this morning. I awoke and all I could see was Michael in that dreadful hotel room that fateful morning, details and everything. It was horrible and the thoughts would never leave. I could never go back to sleep. It's kind of weird how the visualizations were so strong and the way I woke up like that. It was as though it had just happened again. I know we should not dwell on that day, but if anyone says they never think of it and only think of the good, well, I don't beleive them. After all that one day changed so many of our lives. It was very devastating and took quiet some time to come to terms with it. I still play INXS and Michaels music every day, no matter what.

Merry Christmas to all of the Hutchence family and Merry Christmas my darling Michael. You will have the best Christmas of all.

Love and Peace to all,
Julie

Chrissie,

I agree with your second post, I can see where you are coming from and I feel that Michael would be embarrassed about all the worshipping from his fans but I see it as a way of expressing their love for him!!

Michael hated people being Worshipped and as a matter of fact so do I. I remember him saying “The Pope is no better then anyone else” and I totally agree as we are all equals. Yes Michael was Just a Man but he was such a special man to have so many good qualities in the one man and then to have the charisma on top of it all it was very rare and he was very endearing making it hard to not have a special kind of love for him.

I do see your point very strongly and you are right but some of us are stronger then others, that is human nature.

Love and Peace

To Elvira,

I'm sorry for offending you through my comments. We're all different and it's true that I may not be as sensitive as most. I'm notorious for being the more rational i.e. non sensitive of my friends - it gets me into trouble all the time.

What prompted me to write my comments was that I saw so many entries of people worshipping Michael as their god - that may not include you, so I'm sorry if you feel that it was directed at you.

At the end of the day I have a hard time dealing with any sort of human idol worship. Images of Hitler, Stalin and Cults spring to mind (not that I'm drawing any comparisons with them and Michael).

Despite having met Michael on many occassions and finding him to be extremely intelligent and sensitive towards other people (no matter who they were) he was after all “just a man”. Having said that, I must admit that he certainly managed to cast his spell on me (I was a huge fan right back from the days of Shaboo Shabah) - otherwise why would I be anywhere near this site.

Ignoring Michael's magnitism for just a moment, we're all created equal and Michael would be the last to condone any sort of worship on a human level (especially on himself). Just listen to his words “you've got it all in your hands”. He realised the hidden and in his case unhidden potential which we all have and that includes you, Elvira.

Just my thoughts. May you be as blessed as Michael was.

To Chrissie,

This is a sacred site for Michael Hutchence if you don't like him what are you doing here, you say there is too much talk on Michael here, could it be because it is the Michael Hutchence Memorial website?? That's why the rest of us come here, through the love for a beautiful and very special guy which if not for his wonderful father Kell, would not be possible!! You should have some compassion and realize that for alot of people it is a site where they can freely come and express thier feelings and for some therapy, it may come as somewhat strange to you but their are alot of sensitive and emotional people out there who get solace at expressing their love and admiration to a man who deserves it wholeheartedly. Go to the INXS sites and I'm sure you won't be disappointed there. Kell thank you so much for the wonderful job on this special sacred site. it is a very spiritual place for a lot of us we love you for it.. Michael you are in my thoughts everyday, loving you forever xxxxx

Hi,

I had the pleasure and excitement of being involved in the film “Dogs in Space”. At the time Michael was just starting to make it as a big star internationally, and yet was truly humble and unpretentious.

I am however concerned by how this web site portrays Michael as some sort of super human being. I think it's a sad state of affairs when people choose to idolise any one person, in particular a person who was so self-destructive. What is even more sad is that his own family seem to idolise him as a god (what about the rest of your family? Surely they've accomplished something).

Furthermore, he was not a one man band, the synergy between the other members of INXS and Michael was paramount and that beautiful thing seems to be somehow forgotten. If you have to idolise one of the band members, why not look to Jon Farriss (my personal favourite), who maybe doesn't publicise his self interests but is certainly a wonderful example of a human being in terms of his spiritualism and vegetarianism from a very young age.

I don't mean this email with any disrespect, I just feel in my heart that Michael would want someone to challenge the one-sidedness of this web site.

Dear Mr Hutchence,

Perhaps it would be a good idea to have a link to some of Michaels favorite charities. I would like to donate a little something in his and Paulas memory...I am sure other people would also like to commemorate them in a fitting way. A thought to ponder perhaps?

Wishing you, Suzy and son Rhett all the best this holiday season. You have behaved impeccably throughout this whole ordeal. May you gain solace in your sons memory.

I think that Michael would have been proud of your attempts to preserve his memory with dignity. God bless.

With prayers for Michael, Paula and baby Tiger as Christmas draws near. My thoughts are also with Paulas other children...hard to believe that three months has passed since her death.

May she rest in peace. May the media circus surrounding she and Michaels deaths end. They deserve better.

I enjoyed this site in a big way. Mike meant so much to me personally.

I loved INXS and happen to think his solo album is fantastic-I tend to look at it as a scrapbook of his innermost thoughts on what was happening around him. Slideaway gave me chills upon first hearing it. All the music aside, I too was a lanky, acne faced, curly haired teenager who couldnt stand to catch my appearance in the mirror. After reading of the similar traits in Mike i dealt with it much easier, infact I actually like my hair now!

Sensational site Kell, a big thankyou. It's uplifting and warming to know that I have somewhere I can come to where I am not alone in my thoughts and grief.... even after 3 years. Michael was one of a kind, a sexy rocker. I remember The Swing tour in Cairns, I caught a piece of streamer he threw out to the audience, I was 12 years old...I still have it. The world is definitly a better place for having known Michael.

Thank you for this beautiful site. I was profoundly saddened by the loss of Michael. I still feel as though I lost a dear friend because thru his music he was able to touch me at a very deep level. His solo c.d. is a masterpiece. I treasure the music he has given us. Love and Peace

I had the great pleasure of meeting your son backstage at a concert in Canberra back in 1994. We spent a long time conversing with one another about recording studios, singers, and the American Music Business. When I mentioned that MAX Q was my favorite work of his, he was surprised that any Americans had even heard of it. That we had seemed to make him quite happy.

He was one of the most charismatic, energetic, and sensual front-men in the history of rock and roll.

I told him he ranked up there with Paul McCartney, Frank Sinatra, and Bono of U2 for his vocal and showmanship abilities.

He was truly unique and embrassed the world with passion. He will be sorely missed for a very, very long time to come.

Thank you for letting me share my thoughts on your son. Take care.

just to let y'all know, I am still planning on the annual INXS party in los angeles this january. I also hosted last years' party, which went well. we had a turnout of about 25 people! this year I plan to make it even better, as it did get a bit expensive last year. I am working out a way to make it totally free for everyone, and also to be in a more intimate setting, where we can loosen up and get to know each other! I want to compile a list so I can email those who want to come with more details as they become available.

please email me if interested!
