As Canada mourns the loss of a symbolic singer, I think about other artists gone too soon. Inxs was my favourite band to see in concert. Fond memories of rushing to front row to get closer to everyone’s fav frontman I still love listening to my favourite songs. Gone but never forgotten 💜.

I remember jumping up out of bed when I heard of the news of Michaels death. I walked around and around my bedroom in shock and disbelief.
Its 20 years on and I am for the first time moved to tears. His loss is more poignant now to me then ever before.Sadness that so much time has passed in my life. Sadness at the thought of the possibilities for everyone. Sadness for the death of Paula. Sadness for the family , friends and band members. Such a tragedy....an immense loss ....so many unanswered questions and hearts broken....life is very cruel.....why oh why Michael.

I can't believe that it has been almost 20 years now since your passing. I never had the privilege of seeing INXS live, but I love their music. Such talented musicians, writers, performers. I don't think that even today there is another with your charisma, soulfulness and stage presence. Tough to top amazing. I loved your voice and just how down to earth you seemed. Hopefully God is enjoying your music and that you've reconnected with those who have gone after you. Rest Peacefully Michael and know that we still listen and you will forever be missed.

I'm 25 and I've just discovered the music of INXS within the last week and I'm so drawn to Michael. Watching YouTube live video music of INXS and Michael has such an incredible voice he sounds amazing live!
I'm sad Michael died young as I would have loved to have seen him perform live in this day and age.

I remember that day so well. I was just a teenager and it was a good day to me. It was my birthday. I heard about that terrible news and I immediately felt bad.
Today I am older, I am a woman and all I can say, twenty years later, is that I grew up... with your music and your voice.

I ´m Fernanda and I´m 36 years old and i´m from Argentina. I discovered Michael just a few moths ago , and since then i just fell in love with him and with his poetry , its a mixture of feeling cause it makes me feel so sad and hapy at the same time, sad because we´ve lost him sooo soon (omg) but happy because i had the great fortune i found him. ohh i´m very moved right now . my prays are with his souls parents, his brother and sister , Paula and specially with Tiger and always in my heart and soul Michael , ohh so so sad , God bless his soul always. my wish is to have the opportunity to travel to Australia and visit his homeland and put a flower in his memorial . Last week I was in the hospital for 7 days from and alcohol relapse that nearly killed me. When I finally came to I was very depressed and felt awful. I started listening to Dont Change, and other INXS songs over and over. The healing power of this song helped me to improve and gave me renewed faith in life. Michael's life was too short. But his music and spirit continues to live in this world. I cant explain how this music helped me recover, Thank you Michael and INXS. "Resolution of happiness, things have been dark for too long"
What a talented, magnificent man/ artist he was. I am too young to have heard INXS' music when they ruled the radio airwaves but im glad ive finally discovered them. May God bless him, for he was gone too soon.
