I SO wish I had been able to see the remarkable Michael in concert.....
Forever in my heart & memory, the most dynamic performer I have ever seen in person. I was fortunate enough to have seen INXS in concert in Portland, Maine in the early 80's.

I have been a fan since “Kick” was released. I was just a kid, but had the album on tape, but the very first CD I ever bought was "Welcome to Wherever You Are." I was 11 years old at the time and must have driven my parents mad with the way I continually listened to it over and over. I loved looking at the album photos and liner notes-so cool to see especially while growing up in a small town.
For sentimental reasons, I kept that CD for many years even after getting rid of all the others. Long gone now, but I just downloaded the album tonight and listened to it again for the first time in years.
All great songs with superb musicianship and production quality –solid well laid out album by some very talented guys. Definitely one of the biggest musical influences of my life. Thanks for the wonderful gift!

Hutchence was awesome. He's my drummer's idol, and also got me into INXS. We were only eleven when he passed. We still play Mediate for him - it's probably the only song to rhyme that many words. It contains so many words, I have to prop a binder underneath the mic stand! We're an original band, but like to nail off a few covers. We still play Need You Tonight, and Don't Change.
Michael's music brought countless hours of joy to my life in the '90s and in the years that have followed. He'll always be a special person to me. The world lost him far too soon. I was looking at photos from his time with Helena Christensen and how beautiful and glowingly happy they both looked. Life takes strange turns.

I can't believe it's nearly 20 years since Michael was take from us, way too soon... My love and thoughts are with his family and friends... Gone but never forgotten... I wish you were by my side.....

In the process of googling North Hollywood high (5 min from my residence), it listed Michael as a student....which checks out as correct. So I've spent the last 4 hrs on everything Michael Hutchence. What a great talent, awesome vocals. I was in jr. High (1982) when INXS broke big.
Michael has strongly influenced and influenced the music of the eighties. A loss that still hurts today.
In remembrance of Michael Hutchence, 20 years later. Let him never be forgotten.

I loved so many INXS songs in the past and now I have discovered their live clips on YouTube and it takes me back to my late 20s and 30s. Watching these clips I can appreciate just how magnificent Michael was as a performer /singer. He totally mesmerises me and I feel so very sad he is no longer here with us - especially knowing we were both born in 1960. I can imagine he was a really beautiful , gentle, caring person. Love you Michael.

Michael was more than just a rock-star....he was a Saint.
Along with his brothers, INXS, made sounds and music that today are alive today. I feel sorry for Michael that he could not escape his "burdens.' Lord Jesus, please FORGIVE Michael Hutchence...for he did not know what he was doing.
