Michael, you were so full of life, it’s so hard to believe you have gone, even after twenty years. The band will never be the same without you. Thank you for all the joy you bought to so many of us. My thoughts are with your family and close friends.

Therefore a dream...

An eternal
glimmer while
the sound of
a blackbird
calls the desire

Kelland, I wanted to let you know that I thought about your family as much as I thought about Michael as the 20 year anniversary came and went. I'm so happy you have great memories with him. He really just loved being on that stage. Everyone who came in contact with him really enjoyed his company. I wish he could have lived to see his daughter grow up, I wish he got to get married to have a family life, and maybe more children. But most of all, I'm so sorry he is no longer here for you and your family. The ones who miss him the most. Thank you for creating this website, and God Bless you.

My Sincerest condolences,

Patricia Allan

It´s now 20 years without this talented musician. How sad! His music was an important part, accompaniment of my life and I associate lots of memories, feelings and moments with every single song of INXS. Thank you Michael!

So hard to believe it's been 20 years since Michael Hutchence died. And it still seems so unreal. One of the great, if not the greatest, frontman ever. I'm so glad I saw INXS twice back in 1988. It was one of the greatest shows ever. Thank you Michael for the music! May you live on in people's hearts! God bless you!

I remember when I heard about your horrible end on my way back for a week with family in Portland Oregon, I was on my way home on a train trip I took when I was 17. I was devastated, you were my Idle, you were my hero, there was so much that you meant to me and so many others around the world. Often since then I’ve often thought about a lot of “What ifs” , such as What if I was there to save you, bring you back from what ever led you to your end. I’m older now and I’m more than aware that it wouldn’t of been as simple as that. My family has been through so many suicides, my dad being the most recent. I vowed to my mom, my sister and anyone who would care that I would never end my life, its kept me from crossing that line but, I do find myself thinking about it daily. I really wish we could met Micheal, I don’t know the relationship we would of had, but I’m sure it would have been an amazing experience. Thank you so much for letter me and the rest of the world hear your amazing voice. Feel free to visit me if you get around to it.

A great band. A great idol. A huge loss. We missed the presence of INXS on the stage, but the legacy will live forever. Long life to Rock! RIP

My name is Adriana and I'm from Brazil. Excuse me if you do not understand something, because I do not speak English. I use the translator to write these words.

I want to express how much I love Michael. I know that I am one of the millions of fairies that already owns, but I am happy to express my affection and admiration. I knew his songs in 1992 and since then are part of the good times of my life. They do not leave my ears! His performace on the stage was engaging. He won the audience for good energy. Good Soul! He was very special!

Thanks to the Hutchence family for sharing Michael with us.

Dear Michael, I'm a bit lost for words this year - but went to your Memorial site yesterday; bunch of Rosemary in hand - place as peaceful & beautiful as ever, birds chirping. It's all a bit surreal - I remember exactly the first time I ever spoke to you at the Alter and where I was when heard you had died. I remember so clearly watching TV; your coffin carried out overflowing with purple irises - the heavens opened up - thunder, flashes of lightening rain. It doesn't seem like 20 years has gone by - as all these thoughts seem just like yesterday - maybe this is space-time where all time exists and it doesn't matter what time it is, but, what we do with it. And, dear Michael you did so much in your space-time and your music - poetry continues to enrich-inspire and give hope to each generation. Your words have helped me in my darkest hours and brightest lights and I have grown so much that I know which way to go. Miss you xx

Michael,
I feel like I know you personally even though I only ever saw you once. You're music is something that lives on in all of us, and I have made sure my own children know who you are too! Who is Michael Kelland Hutchence? AUSTRALIA'S GREATEST EVER FRONTMAN!!!
I still remember the 22nd Nov 1997. I stood in Bourke St Melbourne in utter disbelief, and cried...
Thank you so sincerely for everything you gave us all. We are far far richer for you having done so.
All my love and respect, Jane xxxx

I was shocked to see it had been 20 years since you graced this earth. Do you know your music has not only stood the test of time it still thrives? I hope so.... We listen often, we dance, we sing, we laugh and cry at your words. You are missed....but thank you for all that you gave while you were here.
