It is with immense sadness that I read your message letting us know the sad and tragic news of Kell's passing.
Please impart our deepest condolences to Susie, Rhett, Tina, family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this harrowing time.
Kell was not only the father of one of the greatest poets and singers of our generation but a wonderul, kind caring man who you didn't have to personally meet to realise this. He was a fantastic man who also gave so much of himself through all the grief of losing his son, helped to set up this wonderful site in Michael's memory for us to visit and cherish.
What a special man Kelland Hutchence was to Michael's fans, he will always be remembered for that and so much more. Along with Michael, I will never forget Kell and pray that he is at peace with Michael now.

It is with immense grief and deep sorrow that I announce the passing of an amazing person and our dearest friend, Kelland Hutchence, Michael's adoring Dad, who lost a battle with cancer today, Thursday 12th December, 2002 at 6:35pm, Sydney time. Please pray for his dear wife Susie, his son Rhett whom he loved so well, Tina whom he never stopped loving, and his dear grand children, including precious Tiger who will always have fond childhood memories of times with her precious Grand Daddio.
God give him eternal peace and rest.

The late 80's, growing up in England my best friend Phil and I would play the songs of “Kick” constantly. We saw Michael twice in concert (Birmingham and Manchester). He had a terrific voice, was a real musician and from what I have gathered from the people that knew him personally was an incredibly loving person too. He will be missed dearly.
What a talent. That voice. No one will ever sound like Michael. I miss him.
A long time has passed since the loss and I have had the privelige to see INXS on numerous occasions. The Wembley Summer XS concert on 13th July 1991 epitomises Michaels talents.

I had not possibility to visit internet for 2 weeks, but no one day was without Mike-now I've got more videos,even concert video,more tracks-all is Great!
It was Kylie's concert on TV yesterday-I thought about Mike all the time.He was her inspiration and still is.And he is my inspiration-without him everything was wrong.I'm so happy we had that Gift-to see him,to hear his voice.

Today I turn 37. God bless you Michael. You were my favorite singer and still are.
I grew up with michaels music and still follow the group. I miss him as he was a great person who touched many lives
They say you will never forget what where you were when you hear somebody that touched your life has died.
I will never forget that shocking moment and i can only imagine the pain his family went through and how much it still must hurt.
