Today I turn 37. God bless you Michael. You were my favorite singer and still are.

They say you will never forget what where you were when you hear somebody that touched your life has died.
I will never forget that shocking moment and i can only imagine the pain his family went through and how much it still must hurt.
Michael is deeply missed.

Michael Hutchence was a great musician. My mother, sister and I are all fans of his work in his solo career and in INXS.

Michael's death didn't really sink in at the time in Nov 97 as my baby daughter was just days old. I just saw INXS live for the first time since his death in Glasgow last week and have to admit I was choked at their tribute to him. Jon Stevens is brilliant in front on the band too but in his own way - Michael could not be replaced.

I recentley saw inxs in glasgow with jon stevens singing...my first thoughts were,can this new singer be good to take over from michael.....infact he was fantastic!.i felt proud that inxs have found somebody that has so much dedication in singing all there greatest songs and doing them all justice...!it was also touching when andrew and the band dedicatied“never tear us apart”.very emotional,.and very touching....god bless you michael

Michael helped me grow. Inspired by decency, he helped me grow.

Michael was sometimes my only link to what was truly right. He was brave beyond boys and helped those like him stay the same.

I have Michael in my heart. I wouldn't be what I am without him.

To have a son who says “Shine like it does into every heart” is a blessing on all your efforts.

Dear M! Not once I do not think of you as someone who has gone and will not return. You are here, your voice and music. I simply adored everything about Michael in high school (“I need you tonight” was released...).
He was and still is my inspiration.

I'm 24 and for the majority of my life, I grew up listening and appreciating to Michael's amazing vocals and talents. He is sadly missed!

He was such a rare and unique talent
whose appeal was unbelievable he certainly will not be forgotten.

Although five years have passed, Michael is as strong in my mind, heart and soul as ever. His voice still makes me feel energetic and alive. Michael's lyrics offer strength for me in the tough moments of life. Michael touched my life in an amazing way and he is with me every day in his music. He truly had something worthwhile to say about life and love and I'm so glad he did. We are all better for his words. In deepest admiration and love, Allison Stack

I first heard INXS when I was in college. They were the best! Their music was the backdrop to the best years of my life. When I heard of Michael's death, I felt as though part of my youth was gone. Such a sad, sad day. Such talent and warmth and then....gone, nothing. I really could not understand why or how this could happen. Shortly after that I heard “Never Tear Us Apart” during my morning commute. All I could do was smile. Such a beautiful voice. Warmed my entire soul. Thank you Michael, for everything. You will never know how you have touched so many of us. You were given to this world for a short time, but you have left us a lifetime of memories and your greatness lives on in your song.
