Six years since we lost Michael, I can hardly believe it...

It's nice to see though, how many people continue to celebrate the band's music and all that Michael left behind. 🙂

Cheers, Michael. You're with us still...

It's been nearly 6 years and still hard to believe. I'd seen INXS several times; Austin, Buffalo, Phoenix... what amazing memories. I still listen nearly every day and think of Michael often. The world is not the same without him. I also think often of his family; the loss of Kelland and Paula as well, and of course, Tiger. To the boys in the band I miss you terribly and hope to see you soon. I recently recieved “Dogs In Space” as a gift and watch it often. Profound, definitely, prophetic?, maybe... in the very last scene when Michael is singing and the lights go down on him... I cannot express what I feel when seeing that. I miss you, Michael. Love to you and yours always

midwest and all is true!
Have you ever wondered if loved ones who pass can know how much we miss them? Well I asked to see a yellow mustang yesterday if he (Mike) could know. Being almost winter where I'm at and yucky weather, I said to myself if I see a yellow mustang then he'd know. I saw ONE! Within 15 minutes!

Ihope everyone in your family are doing well, considering this very difficult lost you've had to deal with. The sound clips are a wonderful addition and more updated pictures are always welcome when you have time to do this. Take care/god bless

Everyone has their favorite music or at least somthing that they can call their special THEME music. INXS and Michael have been on all of my adventures since 1993 and have been a major part of my life. Whenever I hear them on the radio, I see it as a sign from Michael that good things are about to come. I am not kidding. Before business deals or big dates, if I hear INXS, it is a guaranteed success. Remember when Fonzi would talk to a picture of James Dean (Happy Days), I will sometimes look at a picture of Michael and ask his advice. For a man that I never met, he has always been a very positive influence for me. He seemd like a man that could be everybody's friend.
I was fortunate enough to see them in 1997 in Phoenix(4 months prior to his sad departure)
I was able to shake his hand during the show. For that one moment in time, Michael knew how much I enjoyed his music and appreciated his talent.
Thanks for making such a great site. He deserved it and hopefully, his spirit will live on for many more years to come.
I will certainly keep it alive.

To all the Hutchence family,

May I just take this moment in time to say, I have read your very moving accounts of Michael's life in Just A Man. I have been a fan of your son's music for many years but did have a period of absence, where other music stole my attentions.

I cannot imagine what it must have been like for you all. To have to fight to find the truth behind all those lies. It has been said that your book was an attack on certain people, but I do not feel this at all. To me it was a touching account from a mother who had lost a son and a sister who had lost her brother. That is all. All I can say is I am grateful you let us in to the world of the real Michael Hutchence. He was a good man, caring towards you all and their was a lot of love in your family despite the disjointedness of it all. But what is a normal family? Does this really exist? I myself have a brother who travelled with his job as a chef, there were many long gaps in our physical contact with each other but I never once doubted that we still cared for each other. He now lives in Vanuatu, with his current partner and her children, it has been two whole years since I have laid my eyes on him. But we phone and email each other as much as our jobs and lives allow. Some things just aren't simple. But I cannot imagine a world where he is not there at all.

So my heart weighs heavy for your loss as a family as it approaches the sixth anniversary of Michael's death and hope that with each passing minute, each passing day, each passing week, that pain you must all feel eases a fraction more and that you can feel peace.

Yours with love,
Carolyne Gill

I woke this morning feeling different, somehow all the angst I had felt about Michael had gone. I smiled to myself, a warm embrace of a smile. The pain had gone. Internal reconcilation. Now the future appears bright.

You're an Angel, not a memory
It's still amazing how I never tire of his voice. I listen to him everyday. He makes alot of people feel good through his musical voice and words of INXS songs. He's gotta be an angel somewhere. God Bless you Mike. A special Thank You to the family and freinds who make his memory not a Memory, along with all his “still” adoring fans. Like Me! Love and Peace.

just surfing the web, what a great memorial site.It is very moving to see a different side to michael,it is nice to see that he had a normal childhood so used to seeing 'michael' the rock star photos,i have never seen the family photos before,i never would have thouught he would be a boy scout. Its amazing how the media can paint an unfair image of someone.
Thaankou for the great music you have left us with.

this is gonna sound wierd but my mom went to medium to here from my brother who passed recently and he said that micheal was there with him and he was star struck you could say. and he said “ mom we have more in common than you think” honestly my brother liked him and his music but that was the last person I thought would be with him up there. I just thought that was really cool.

I am blessed for having the opportunity to know the only man who made me feel in heaven while listening to his music. His smoothness voice, his wonderful movements. When he came to Mexico, I had problems to get the place on time. I could only listen to the last three songs. However, I remembered him and I will do forever. God bless you....

Recently I was in Australia and I visited Mike's memorial, together with my Australian friend Adam.

I've met Adam at the unveiling of Michael's Memorial Stone in 1998. We just stood there and remembered and honoured that wonderful person, who touched hearts and lives across the globe. This time, sadly, we also had to remember his dear father Kelland, who made this memorial possible.

We were just amazed that his death brought us this global friendship, which has lasted for 5 years now. Apart from sadness also good things have blossemed up since Mike left this place.

This site is a wonderful place for global get-togethers and to honour and remember the amazing human being who was called Michael Hutchence!

I have always adored Michael and his music.... I have suffered myself from drug addiction and depression, it is a dark and lonely road sometimes. RIP Michael and Paula, and much love to Tigerx

Thinking of you Michael and family on this sad anniversary, not a day goes by where I am not reminded of what a wonderful person you are and will always hold a special place in my heart forever......

It seems like I've always loved the music of INXS. My parents have always told me that, as a baby, I would sit in front of the tv, not even walking yet, but trying to dance to their music. When I was older, my admiration grew, particuarly for MH. His voice, his persona, everything about him! When he left us, I would lie awake at night wondering why, how? Recently I've had to deal with depression myself. I think I understand from an onlooker's perspective how they can be so confused at such an act, and yet, I can also see that, when someone is depressed, sometimes there is no why, or how. It's just a pain that won't end. Michael wasn't selfish. Someone who gave so much of himself couldn't possibly have been. But he was loved, worldwide, by those who knew him and those who felt that they did, even though they had never met him, like me. And that's what we have to remember I guess, instead of the whys and hows. We can't go back and change what happened. But we can all see him again someday, I believe.
