I have loved INXS since 1984 when I first heard their music. I've seen the band live twice... once in 1988 to celebrate the KICK album and again in 2003 with Jon Stewart on vocals. Both times they really rocked!

I miss Michael so much. I'll always remember where I was when I learned of his suicide. I was in a chat room when someone barged in with the news. I couldn't/wouldn't believe it. I grieved for days. I couldn't listen to their music for such a long time. I was angry and sad. It's like he was a part of my family. I was in such pain.
When his death finally sunk in, I was saddened so much that I would never again hear a new song over the radio and jump up excitedly knowing that INXS had released a new song/album. That was always the best.

Happy birthday Michael!! you are inmortal in our hearts and minds. Your musical legacy and your spirit will never die.
Best of luck for the band in their search for a new singer. I just wish you could find someone to fill the space Michael left, but things will never be the same without him. Anyway, It'll be great to see you guys on tour again. People like Andrew, Garry, Jon, Kirk and Tim are missed too.
Rock on!

I miss their music but how can you replace an entertainer like the Hutch. I wish i could've met the guy as he seemed to be quite unique. Happy birthday big man. David.

I have been a fan since I was 13 years old. Now I'm 31 and I can still remember the energy and drive in his music. Of course, I'm more a fan of the earlier stuff and every time I hear a song on the radio I listen in disbelief. I'm alone in my car, driving, realizing that he's gone. You are missed tremendously, Michael.

Michael was a fantastic performer, can't believe he's been gone nearly 8 years. he'd be 45 tomorrow. Really miss his musical presence. Unfortunately I don't think anybody can take his place in INXS. Happy Birthday Michael. XXX

I first remember listening to Michael and INXS in high school. Michael's powerful vocals were unique and something I had not heard before. They instantly became my favorite band. I remember exactly the moment I heard Michael had passed on. I felt as though a part of me was lost as well. Michael is sadly missed.
