Rest in Peace.......You are missed and loved
INXS was a considerable part of my high school existence. My best friend, Dawn, and I spent hours upon hours listening to INXS albums and watching for them on MTV. I feel such an immense sadness when I think of Michael being gone. He seemed to have such a joy about him, a presence that poured from him when he performed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
The best christmas present I ever recieved was a stereo with a record player on top. The first album that came with it was Kick, 1987 and I was ten years old. I remember dancing all night with my cousins to the whole album on New Years Eve. One of the best nights of my life. Thank you for all your passion, talent and love you spread around the world. You are missed.
Sincerly,

An original voice comprised of all the attributes that make for a compelling presence on stage and off. He will is missed.
Michael was the voice of the 80's and 90's, such a wonderful, powerful artist that left us with so many great memories, every Inxs album reminds me of special times in my life, so THANK YOU MICHAEL! I miss you.
I grew up on INXS, listening to my sisters tapes. Recently i decided to buy them all for myself. And it's like reopening an old wound.
I miss you Michael!
I miss you Michael!
such a sad sad loss.the man with the voice that prickles the hairs on the back of your neck
I saw INXS live twice...once in WEMBLY arena and also in CARDIFF INXS in the BAY.I was B L O W N AWAY.MH could yell at the top of his voice and it would still be in tune, melodic and totally rockin'.By far and away the best live act I have ever seen...I will always relate that to everyone that will lend me an ear.
MH - RIP...INXS - live on...live baby live.
MH - RIP...INXS - live on...live baby live.
I love INXS and they will never be the same without Michael. What the band is doing now truly honors and keeps Michaels spirit thriving through thier music.I can almost see Michael on stage with his band mates as they pick the next singer of the band. Choose wisely. For no one is worthy of his spot.
you were great i miss you
20 years later and I still tell people about Michael bumming a cigarette off me! He was humble, gracious, and wonderfully sarcastic.
INXS defined my early 80's adolescence. When Micheal left us a piece of my innocence and wonder left with him.

Im at the age of 16 now, and i'm starting to love more and more of INXS. Michael Hutchence was a truly amazing man! Rest in peace MKH!
To me, when Michael Hutchence left us, there was an enormous void that has never and will never be filled. He was the only one. He was amazing. I am glad to see that people still remember him and honor him. We miss you Michel, you would've been GREAT! We love you wherever you are. Sadly enough INXS and this world will never be the same without Michael.
POEM FOR A MAN
by l.r.d.
he struck me like a bolt of lightening, the first time i saw him.
he slinked on the stage, snake like...he jolted to the air...bird like.
i was drawn in..
my heart was hooked, my libido at risk...and to think..all this at 13.
and your voice just soared..to the heavens, to the tops of our universes...how was this possible?
not knowing how to handle this all, i let myself go and fall under the spell..
of a man destined for stardom, destined for glory..
destined for tragedy..
how unfair..how premature. i wish i could stop time, somewhere in the early 90's, when i saw your smile glow at its brightest..oh how i wish i had that power to do so..
so here i am, years later, still haunted.
and knowing, the heavens above have inherited a gift, unknown to mere mortals.
a gift i will not ignore...

Right from the start your music touched my soul. Your voice was beautiful, unlike any other - simply melodic. You sang to me once. It's one of my favorite memories. I thank you for that and for sharing your talent with the world. You are missed but will always live on. I wish you peace and happiness.
God Bless Michael whereever he may be. The world lost a wonderful talent. I grew up listening to INXS and still do to this day....they are great!!!!
You are truly missed, your music, and words will touch generations for years. It's too bad you can't see that now.
Peace, and Love!!
Peace, and Love!!
Michael's talent will never be forgotten. I listen to my CD's and watch my DVD's, still mesmerized by his face and vocal ability. He had an extraordinary stage presence, always leaving you wanting more INXS. Michael, rest in peace, singing with the angels in heaven.
Just watched the incredible Wembley show again. Its such a sad loss to lose such an incredible talent, never to be replaced.
I went back in time this evening; remembering Michael and INXS and the first, and only time, that I saw them in concert in 1991; watching old videos on launch.com; and not believing how fast the years have passed. Michael was mesmerizing. He - the band - were such a large part of my life growing up in the 80s. Hearing their music brings back so many wonderful memories. Knowing how immensely sad that I still feel about his passing nearly eight years ago, my heart goes out to his family and friends for their loss. This is a wonderful site. Thank you so very much for sharing his life with us.
I clearly remember hearing the lyrics, “It's the one thing...You are my thing...” blare through the house on MTV in my youth every morning as I prepared for school. That's when I discovered the beauty of video. Thank you.
