Ever more so lately, can I see the impact michael has had on my life. From wanting his haircut as a teenager, to partying to his music as a young adult, to appreciating him as as artist a few years later. There have been few rock stars in the true sense of the word, someone who can move his audience not only with his music, but with his persona. Michael was one of those rare gifts from god, and was, is, and always will be severely missed !

I would just like to say that even though many years have passed since Michael's unfortunate death, a great loss is still amongst us. A beautiful man, voice and soul will no longer be here with us on earth but we can keep his spirit alive each time we listen to his music.

God Bless you Michael!

I never got to se MH, the BEST frontman ever. The first time I saw the band live on TV, my jaw just dropped. The guy had the grace of a panther, absolutely compelling performer. I have such tremendous respect for the band carrying on, that has got to be so hard. Michael set the bar so high, I don't see how he could ever be replaced but I wish the band all the best.

What a difference. Some people are just starlike.
M.H. was one of those.
Say hello to my friends in heaven as you travel in the light.

I sat 3 rows from the stage at the last U.S. tour by INXS in Dallas, sometime in the summer of 1997. It was the first time I've seen INXS in concert while on a busy business trip. It was a long awaited encounter after having been a big fan of INXS music since 1980 in high school and bought all their albums till the passing of Michael. I just had to be there. The concert was all the excitement I had expected and more. Michael was awesome. Beyond the shock and disbelief of the tragic news on November 22, 1997, I look back to that night in Dallas & thank heavens that I was fortunate to have seen Michael performed live that night in Dallas and to have experienced his music in my life.

Michael was the leader of a great band. None though can match the style, sexuality, excitement, attraction, and talent of Michael. I can't help but think that it will be very difficult to ever replace Michael.

His voice, his style, his music, his memory will forever live!

Thanks for the great fun in your songs enjoyed over and over again....

Aloha Brother!

I thank God that he gave us Michael for as long as he did. There are certain voices that are so amazing and then (lucky for us) they become singers. I am glad for the band that they are moving on and getting a new singer. But I'm also so sad because everytime I hear them sing and inxs song I think of Michael. Never tear us apart is my favorite song. Every day your fans miss you Michael.

Your inspirational music carried me through my teenage years, a turbulent, strange and emotional time of growth and renewal. When life turned black and my identity seemed lost, you were a beacon of light. Although I never met you, I hope to one day see you in the clearing at the end of the path and shake your hand, my friend.

I know that much time has past sence Micheal left the world, but I still would like to send my blessings to his family. I know that lossing someone you love is not easy. I am so thankful that I had the chance to to see Micheal perform in concert with INXS. It was a time I will never forget. The reason I found this site is because of the ROCK Star INXS T.V. program. When I first heard about it I said there is no way that I am going to watch them replace Micheal. But I could not help myself and started watching after the second week. And now I am hooked. But, Wednesday nights are so hard for me to watch because that is when they sing past INXS songs. Every time I watch I get sad. It makes me miss the old INXS and the sound of Micheal's voice but most of all his amazing stage performance. As, I do know the guys need to move on and I look forward to their future music my heart still hurts. For more then 15 years I have loved INXS and the music they bring to us. Thank you Micheal for that.

I'm standing here on the ground
The sky above won't fall down
See no evil in all directions
Resolution of happiness
Things have been dark

Back in the day, about 20 yrs ago, my best friend told me about a band from Australia called INXS. She said they were the greatest rock band she has ever heard...she was right. The unique style and sound captured my heart and soul from the beginning. I saw them live in Philadelphia in 1990. That performance will be one I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Michael was one in a million. I know he's missed by everyone. He's touch so many lives while he was here on earth and will continue to do so.
Peace to you Michael. You will never be forgotten.

While watching a recent episode of “Rockstar”, I began to reflect on the effects that INXS had on me! It's hard to think of INXS going on without Michael, but, at the same time - I welcome the idea. I remember seeing INXS in 1988, during the KICK tour at the Marcus Ampitheater in Milwaukee with my sister, Renee. Not only was it meaningful to be there with her, but we had the same feeling my Dad probably had the first time he saw The Beatles! I had a crush on Jon, and she had a crush on Michael. After the show, we bought T-Shirts, and a Program filled with pictures that we shared! (And actually fought over…) We made sure to watch every MTV Award show, and buy all the records, etc. We would get SO excited when a video would premiere on MTV. Needless to say - we were (and still are) HUGE fans! I won't forget the day we heard the news about Michael's death. I was working at an Advertising Agency, and she called me from college. We couldn't believe it. She had such dissapointment in her voice. Her favorite idol was tragically, and suddenly gone. She said, “That's it… it's never going to happen… I will never get to meet my Idol… I guess I somehow thought there was the possibility, but, it is now definate that I won't… EVER…” For anyone who knows my sister - she lives for music - singing, writing, listening - ALL OF IT! She could relate to the lyrics Michael would sing, and truly loved the arrangements, etc. She could appreciate Michael's talent - oh yeah - and the fact that he was gorgeous was a bonus! Michael Hutchence is missed. I sometimes wonder what he would be like today and I'm comforted by the fact that there wasn't an album I didn't like… THAT music will always be remembered… Some artists fizzle over time, but, he left us before there might have been a chance. (I don't think that would've happened…) I believe he would have carried on with the talented likes of BONO & U2…) HE will always live on, and HE will always be young… (When I want to feel young - I play the KICK album). Good Luck to the rest of the band… It's your time.
