I didn't hear about his death til a couple of years later. I remember I had wondered what had happened to INXS. When I found out on the “Behind the Music” show what happened I was shocked and saddened. I couldn't believe someone as honest and sincere as he was could be gone so soon!
I was so dissapointed that I wasn't able to see or hear him again until I bought the two videotaptes that were out previously, at a resale shop near where I live. That was about four years ago now.
Then two Christmasses ago I received the reissue of KICK as a gift. I listened to it and felt sad because I realized I hadn't really appreciated his music before his untimely death.
I have since purchased several of their albums and with each listen I hear someting dfferent in them each time.
They were and are a great treasure to me and always will be! Thank you Michael for being you!

I can barely believe how many years have gone since that dreadful day of Michael's passing. I am sure many people feel the same as me in that it is something we will never completely recover from. From Michael's powerful voice and lyrics, it feels as if I knew him personally. He is a beautiful man sadly missed.
