the loss of michael continues to be felt. he was a true original that can NEVER be replaced. andrew got it so right on God's Top Ten. I had the pleasure of seeing INXS perform at the Forum before the Calling All Nations tour and it is one of the best shows I'd ever seen. we love you, mate. cheers

I just want to say why oh why did you have to die Michael. You were one of the best singers out there. In my opion Inxs will never be the same without you. JD Fortune may be a good singer but he will never be able to replace you. RIP Michael. Love always Michelle.

Io non ero ancora nato quando tu cantavi, ma l'altro giorno ho sentito uno dei tuoi album “Kick” e la tua bellissima voce rimarrà sempre con me

Dear Michael,
I still cannot believe that nine years have passed since you left us. Sometimes I struggle to understand this but I now know that death is a part of life and it happens all of the time. You are now at peace so I no longer need to worry about you. Oneday, maybe in another life I hope that I may meet you again.
Cheers mate, Damon.

The world lost Michael when he was still too young, but the fact that he had no frustrations confort us: he was successful in professional life as well as in private one and that's why the world will never forget him.

probably australias greatest ever singer slash song writer, who, with the changing of time and music, might ever be replaced. what michael and this band achieved was truly extra ordinary, when you think of their humble beginnings, to their massive album sales and concerts such as wembley!! music is one thing in this crazy world we live in, that can reach people in a way which can not be described, and michael, through his lyrics and amazing voice, did this in a way very few artists can. a truly tragic event, not only for those close to him, but for the music industry, who lost one of its all time greats. michael.. thank you for those moments of pure pleasure when i listen to your lyrics and forget everything in my life that gets me down. through your music, you truly will live forever

To think that its been 9 years since the passing of My partner, In June of 97 and having the date of 11.21.97 that was difficult year for myself as for you and you will be forever young, Your Lagcey will not be forgotten since having followed the band since, Benetih the Colors, and all the way though the best of times, I sure Your Mates will follow in the INXS Tradition of Cutting edge and sleeknees that is INXS , See you out there someday Big Al

I have just found this site and I'm glad I did .
I don't mean to make this long winded but it's so hard to condense everything I'd like to say & I dont want to bore anyone reading.
I'll never forget the morning I heard the news of Michael's death .I had to sit down.I was stunned and shell-shocked. My greatest rock idol was dead !
A gorgeous, gorgeous man,a great entertainer with more sexual charisma than ive ever seen.
Then came all the controversay about his death.Does it really matter? All that matters is the deep void and sadness that he left in the hearts and lives of everyone who loved him, knew him and worshipped him.
I'm not a weirdo, though it might sound like it,but everytime i see his photo I have to touch his face and kiss it,simply from the deep sadness that he is no longer with us.
I wish he could have talked to me in his darkest hours and I could have simply listened and absolutely kept his confidences.
I feel he had a great insecurity and was never truly aware of how special, talanted and great a man he really was
INXS will never have a frontman who will EVER hold a candle to you, Michael XXX

Thanks so much for the many years you and your band INXS influenced my life through your music in such a positive way. I can pick up any INXS album today and still get the same enjoyment from playing it as I did when it was in its prime.

I experienced Michael and the band at the world famous Barrowlands in Glasgow. At the time they were considered one of the few bands that could fill stadiums worldwide but they insisted on getting back to their roots and experiencing the emotion and excitement only small venues can deliver - They described the vibe of the Barrowelands as one of their favourite and memorable venues. They shrouded the tour in mystery only naming the venue just prior to the day of the gig. The tell tale sign on the ticket was the fact that you had to be over eighteen to enter. They responded that night with a show that surpassed all their stadium rock. A true measure of their ability, morality and spirit - not many bands at this level can respond to venues of this size all over again.

When you have rocked the Aussie bars for so long before their meteoric rise to fame then musicalability and performance is conditioned as a sixth sense.

Michael that night was sublime oozing every facet of Rock n Roll.

He was unique

God Bless

To make every moment come alive
All those stars that shine upon you
Will kiss you every night”
