Happy Birthday Michael the world is a better place because you were born and lived here if just for a short time. May peace and love come to all who miss you today and always.

Yesterday I attended the funeral of my uncle, a really wonderful family man who passed away at the age of 82. Sure, it was sad a loss, but in our hearts we all knew that he lived a long life, not an easy one, but he did have a loving caring family got to live 82 long years.

After the service my mind got to thinking of Michael as today is his birthday. Like most times that I think of Michael my thoughts always wander to what an universal loss his passing was and will always be. I thought about that fact that I would have given up the concerts and the remarkable music all of Michael to have still been alive. I realize that is neither here nor there. Today, I just want to say how much, for soooo many, Michael will always be a huge part of our lives, his music and his gifts will always be treasured and I will continue to hope that his family and friends continue to honor him in the way that he is so very much deservant.

Today, I will light a candle and say some mantras in honor of Michael and will have his voice playing in my head.

Happy Birthday Michael, a poem for you... Far from my heart, aching to have you near. You're gone from this world, taken before you should've been. Restless empty soul I have become, starring at the stars. You had so much more to share. Your life had just found purpose, your beautiful Tiger Lily, your poetic sweet soul. Lost in a sea of turmoil, if only you waited for the peace. Kindness and love that knew no boundries. You shared your life with the world, gave us your most precious gifts. I longed to fix your pain. Your eyes were the window to your soul the light no longer there. All that remained was dispair. Love was always here for me to share, if only you knew I was there.
